6 Piece Vintage Charm Risen Shine Mixing Bowl Set

I'll start with the good: The pattern is super cute and these will be useful sizes. What I'm unhappy with is that this product listing says "Pyrex" but the product is not Pyrex quality. The packaging actually says "INSPIRED by Pyrex" so clearly the corporate overlords are coasting on the strength of that brand without actually having to deliver the quality. The glass is thinner than old school Pyrex and the design/paint feels chalky to the touch in a way that I'm definitely not going to put these in the dishwasher, even though it says dishwasher safe. Basically, don't expect people to be hunting for these at flea markets in 50 years- they won't last. I didn't blink at paying $40 for the set when I thought they would be the same quality but I feel pretty "eh" about this purchase now that I have them in-hand.

Having seen this in another store before purchasing on Amazon, I knew what the quality was like. This is more like corelle than true vintage pyrex. It is about 40% of the thickness of a true vintage pyrex bowl... People won't be hunting these down in flea markets in 75 years. But they are very cute and they serve their purpose well. These came in a really lovely round box and were packaged well. I like the design and color and for their inteded purpose (mixing and food storage) these are more than acceptable. for under $30, people should not have expected much more, so I'm not really sure why nall the completely disappointed reviews. Have these people not seen new pyrex? None of it reselmbles the old stuff in terms of thickness, weight or quality.I do have some concerns about the finish on the bowls, because is is a rough fine-grit sandpaper feeling finish and I'm not sure it will hold up to high dishwasher temps, so I won't risk it.

the design is so cute and it's no wonder these bowls are regularly out of stock. But the lids on these just drive me crazy, easy to put on; taking them off, though, is a totally different story. It should not be this hard to get a lid off a bowl.

I just received these in the mail, I bought them for myself and was excited to see such a great pattern at an affordable price. Shouldn't have been surprised when I realized it said "Pyrex inspired" definitely not the quality of old school Pyrex, and also had a strange smell, soaking now hope it goes away. I did not have an issue with lids like others.

I fell in love with this item when I saw it due to nostalgia. My mother had this print mixing bowl when I was a small child, and I have fond memories of making cakes and cookies in these bowls.I was a little disappointed when they arrived. The 10 cup largest bowl is much smaller than the bowls my mother had when I was a kid. I probably would not have purchased them if I had understood their size.

I bought these wanting something for more everyday use so my husband stops using my vintage sets all the time.I knew they'd be different and the lips are thinner, the bowls a little smaller and the glaze feels different but I like them and will probably buy another color, collecting just the old patterns at antique stores gets expensive!

I love and collect vintage Pyrex and stumbled across these after seeing them posted in a facebook group, so I had to order them! They're super cute! Now I'm torn -- do I keep them or give them to my daughter as I intended?
