Good blade/lock; entirely plastic handle
Pros:-Cheap knife-Good, well-designed blade, hasn't needed a sharpening for two months of daily use on the job (landscaping: cleaning weedeater heads, digging up the occasional pesky root, etc.) and still slices fruit like a dream-lightweight construction, but very strong blade (don't try too much prying)-Rather solid lock; intentionally try to close it on itself everyday; amazed by its ability to stay lockedCons:-The handle is entirely composite plastic, no metal reinforcement; I'm amazed by its ability to stay locked-there's a slight amount bending that goes on with the handle because of its construction-right hand only thumbstud-very thin clip; be careful to not snag it on anything as you walk past or it may never go back to its original form

Poor planning.
It's really stiff to open with one hand (two harsh corners to push past when opening), kind of painful. And yet the lock notch is poorly designed. A lockback should have a slight range where pressing the lock release half way results in little or no blade movement. Internally, this means the lock surfaces are perpendicular to the direction the blade moves to close, which is the whole concept of a lock. Trying to force the blade closed would therefore not tend to make the lock pop out and release. Instead, this piece of junk is among the worst I have seen. It's like there's no fully locked position. So it's the worst of both. Hard to open, but not a very secure locking mechanism. The plastic looks like it was molded well (not blobby or frizzly at the edges) and the blade is fairly well ground for the price (not very sharp, but it looks like it would be easy to touch up). Too bad it wasn't designed better on paper.

I was told then by the giftor this is the best knife I've ever owned
I purchased this as I own another from this company-I wrote the following review on that one, and expect the same high performance on this one as well. This is the second one I've owned, the first was given to me 30 years ago. I was told then by the giftor this is the best knife I've ever owned, plus you will never need to sharpen it. Don't let the price fool you, this is an excellent knife.
