Purchased as a fertilizer/amendment but using for hot composting
Four stars for this alfalfa as a garden amendment. I don't think my potted plants were too happy with the "alfalfa tea" that I made for them--perhaps the plants outside will like it come spring. However, five stars for the alfalfa for composting! I have found that this alfalfa is a great addition to inside composting bins when I need to "up" the temperature without artificial means. For instance, I have added some of the alfalfa to my vermicomposting bins in our chilly basement (occasionally ~50 degrees Fahrenheit) and yet my "worm thermometer" says that my older bin is in the "happy" zone for my red wigglers. So, I am pleased! Too, the alfalfa crumbles arrived in good time and were packaged well. Thank you!

Less dusty than other Alfalfa meals
Much easier to mix in with my other plant additives, less dusty so you're not green after mixing or choking on the fine dust of other meals.

Pellets
People weren’t kidding about the pellets. About 1/3 through and found a dozen or so pellets. Haven’t seen how it handles as a fertilizer yet since I just got it but it seems find for what I can use.

Perfect for feeding my citrus trees that are in containers. The pellets are perfect for mixing with the soil.

Easy to use. Shipping 10.99? :(
I like the easy use of it,,, but the $10.99 for shipping I don't like at all.
