It is what it is advertised to be and works perfect for my application. I used them together with Gas Lift Springs to create springs to hold the hood open on my old Mustang. Works beautifully at half the price of a kit.

Quality control
The picture shows both balls facing same way. I got 1 facing the correct way and 1 facing the wrong way and now it says they won’t get another set out for 8 days. No way to contact anyone so this is the best way

Great product INSPECT your item when you receive it to be sure BOTH brackets exactly the same brand/model
Product is high quality if you receive "KENCON" model with a durable finish BUT - I received 1 / 2 brackets was a different brand (LPC). This LPC bracket has a different depth on the back end of 10mm ball socket where its pressed into place, radius and hole alignment are slightly different.I ordered 4 sets on two different dates and in this package 1/2 brackets were a different brand. I made a pre made bracket to attach the fittings where I noticed 1 / 2 was not the exact bracket make / model with exact hole dimensions.Different in bracket radius, heigh of "triangulated" portion with 10mm stud and alignment of holes between brackets off by approx. 1-3 mm

broke
Broke on first use. The pin is just pressed into the frame and flew out still attached to the shock absorber. The second one I'm going to weld both sides and see....
