you're obviously paying for the brand and retro look of this toaster, but i will say it does look really nice left out on my counter. it works well too and comes in many fun colors to match your decor. toasts well.

The media could not be loaded. I've had this toaster for 4 months and I simply love it. Why? Because its so cute, makes my kitchen look nicer and toasts bread really well. The pink almost looks like a bubble gum color. The knob level goes up to 6 but I find the bread is toasted to my liking between the 2 and 3 levels. It has toasted evenly most of the time. I once put it on 4 and the bread was darker then I like. This toaster has a strong heating level so be careful it gets hot. There's 2 other buttons on the toaster one for toasting frozen bread and one setting for muffins or bagels. You just have to press a button for those settings. Is this toaster a splurge YES but if your looking for the cuteness factor in kitchen appliances this one is all that and more. I get a lot of use from it and just love how it looks next to my other SMEG appliances.

Works great as a toaster, even more as a style piece in my kitchen! These (toaster and electric kettle) will always sit out on my counter!

Ok….i tried really hard not to buy this toaster! I have always admired it … I even bought other toasters that I ended up not liking at all because of performance and durability. I am glad I decided to go for it and try this toaster! This SMEG toaster deserves a full 5 star rating! I could not be happier… it arrived on time, in double boxing packaged securely within the inner original appliance box in perfect condition. Besides being a beautiful toaster (as toasters go) , it is solid, easy to use and its toasting capability most importantly is fantastic! As soon as it arrived, the toasting began…we use our toaster throughout every day…so far…bagels, toast, reheating of day old crusty bread, waffles, English muffins, and croissants have all either heated or toasted really well and evenly…we have not tried the defrost option yet. We feel the toaster is of high quality, very easy to use, and love the champagne color! We intend to enjoy this toaster for a very long time! It’s a keeper!

The media could not be loaded. Just opened it and it doesn’t work. The level doesn’t stay down after being pressed. Overall, the design looks cute but it is not going to cook for me. Now I have to pack it back to return. Not worth the trouble. Never going to buy again.

I had this toaster in my wishlist for a while and now that I have it , it was my best purchase ever, It works excellent and the color is so beautiful 🩷

I've had this toaster for 6 1/2 years now. The best toaster I’ve ever had. As a toaster, it toasts consistently and the darkness control can be trusted to produce the same degree of toasting every time. What I find special is the build quality. The paint job is worthy of a car, thick and little to nothing sticks to it. The top piece of chromed steel (perhaps stainless steel) is absent of any bluing, corrosion or discoloration of any sort. Despite the copious amounts of sugars, honey, jams, etc Americans must have in their packaged breads. This top piece cleans easily and with a occasional spray of alcohol or window cleaner, looks like new. The design consists of a couple of well fitting pieces with rounded corners and no nooks and crannies. A snap to wipe off. This gets used every day of the week. 6 1/2 years. Flawless, still looks like new. Still works like new.So we're back to a well functioning toaster. And I'm back to this is probably the best toaster I've ever had.- Pros: Its very well made. Tank-like build, excellent paint, high quality non-staining/bluing chrome and stainless. It toasts evenly and reasonably quickly. Handles bagels better than any toaster I've ever had. Though not as good a a toaster oven than can reach high temps (not many anymore). The dial settings work and are consistent. We have not moved the dial from its "2" setting since we bought the Smeg. It always produces the same lightly toasted bread. Very easy to clean and the quality of the crumb tray slide is amazing, press button, it glides out. Well sealed, as in no crumbs leak out onto my black granite counters. Whoever sees it comments favorably. Excellent accessory available to warm croissants, buns, etc.- Cons: Larger than most. Difficult to dig smaller diameter (baguettes) out of the slots. The bread rack does not rise very much when toasting is completed. Its a real pain getting out bread that can't be reached. Why: because that nice quality, thick steel holds in heat and its deep. Toast tongs don't have sufficient room to spread and grab.I bought this for its looks. At this point its the best toaster I've ever owned.

This toaster is stunningly beautiful and looks great in my kitchen with red lower cabinets and black sparkle quartz countertops. It also makes the best toast and is especially good for heating bagels.Using it feels like driving an Alfa Romeo - the motion is so smooth when pressing down the handle to start the toast.
