I've installed the filter. Seems to be a fit in my Samsung Refrigerator. However, the PF02 listing stated its NSF 53 certified (which is a main selling point for me). When I received the product, it was void of ANY NSF markings. Since this peeked my interest, I've went to the NSF database and searched for the manufacture "Purity" with zero results. I've then searched for "PF02" with zero results. I've searched for a model "Purity" and it came up with some hits from a company in Germany. Unless I can find some documentation that these things are actually NSF 53 certified, then I would claim that this item has been misrepresented by being NSF 53 certified (hence the two star rating). Cheaper filters have at least an NSF 42 certification (verified) which I could have purchased instead. If the seller can provide actual documentation/certification of NSF, I will gladly update my review, otherwise beware.UPDATE: The seller provided me w/ NSF42 Certification. However, NSF53 Certification was not listed or still has not been provided.

I purchased this filter because it was the only "generic" filter that was a match to my fridge filter that was an EXACT match to mine. The product arrived quickly, works great and it matches the one it's replacing at a much lower price. Very happy and will buy again

Be careful, it is not a NSF certified standard 42 and 53 production. There is no NSF certified 42/53 statement on the box/filter."Independently tested to fit NSF 42 and 53 standard (mechanical reduction)" is pretty misleading.I returned the item.

The handle is made of a cheaper plastic, sort of soft and translucent-looking instead of the sturdy solid white of the Samsung official ones.So if you look closely at it, it does look (sort of) cheapish inside your nice expensive refrigerator. But I emphasize "sort of", because most probably won't notice. Works perfectly well and is much cheaper.

Modifying my review (4 stars to 2 stars). The water coming out of the filter stunk immediately after purchasing. 4 months later, the water still has a bad odor. The water doesn't taste bad, but the cup does smell while pouring. I didn't have this problem until I installed this filter.

They arrive packaged nicely but when used they seem to only last for 2 months before you start seeing "fishies" in your water.

Worked very well. Plan to reorder.

No variable taste difference and I haven't tested if it actually filters the water similar to the Samsung version. This is a little smaller in size. At first I didn't think it fit but you just have to press the filter in further than the Samsung version. Other than that no complaints
