Another great album from Mansions
I've loved everything Christopher Browder has done as Mansions so I was pleased to see that although the sound changed a bit this time around, there is still that expectedly Mansions-esque core that never disappoints. This album has a lot of the similarly melancholy lyrics that are a staple of his sound, but the songs are definitely louder this time around. He cranked up the distortion this time around but kept the same signature catchy hooks he does so well. The production is great but really captures a lot of the raw noise from the instrumentation. If my rambling isn't making sense, just take everything you love about Mansions and throw in a dash of shoegaze influence in the instrumentation.

Noisey, fuzzy, poppy.
Great album from a somewhat lesser known indie group. The album is full of fuzz and noisey and comfortably detached lyrics about bummer situations. Could be a feel-good album or could be a feel-bad album, depending on your mood. For reference, I would rate their last album a 3.5/5. This tops all their previous work by far.

If you only buy music based on reviews, your decision making process is suspicious.
Did you grow up listening to and appreciating Brand New, Death Cab, and The Early November? Because this band is producing the kind of music that would make those other three proud, if you're into that kind of thing.

Worth a listen. You won't regret it.
This album is simply incredible. If you're into indie rock with some fuzz here and there :)It's worth a listen at the very least. The samples don't always do the songs justice. They wall of sound they manage to produce combined with the AMAZING vocals on the entire album create something simply Breathtaking.Give Mansions a chance!! They deserve way more recognition!
