Juiceboxx - Macbook Charger Cable Protector (Blue 60W)

My now 6-year-old 60 watt MacBook charger is finally showing signs of damage despite my being really careful with the wire over the years. The outer cover of the thin wire was broken in two spots exposing the metal sheath. One break was right at the connection to the transformer; the other midway down the cord. So far I'm very happy with this protective case. The blue color is great and it adds very little bulk. I would estimate it lengthens your transformer by only about 1/2" at the end, which is the extra room needed to keep the cable from making a hard bend where it meets the transformer. I got some white electrical tape, taped over and reinforced the broken wire cover where needed, and added this case (gray electrical tape would have a been a better match if you can find it).It IS annoying that each Juiceboxx color has its own page in Amazon's product catalog; there are a lot of different colors in separate listings if you search; they all should really be on one page.

Protects the cable well, but adds about 2 inches to the length of the power adapter. Makes it difficult to use in places where access to the power supply is tight (such as conference room tables).

Great product! Slightly more bulky than I anticipated, but not a problem.
