Thumb Up Grip for Fuji X100VI

I use it on my x100v, fits in tightly on to the flash mount. The thumb grip feels strong and good quality. I am able to move wheel and use all the buttons with no interference. It does stick out the back but still fits into a pocket with little issues.

The product is really well made but... I was about to return it. The slight wiggle it had in my a6700 was a deal-breaker. I tried a few different ideas and finally tried 3 small slivers of black painter's tape wrapped around just the edge, so it's not visible (1 on one side and 2 on the other) and it is super tight. Tried gaffer's tape but it was too thick, not even one strip would work. Another thin option I might try is Kapton tape, if any concerns arise from adhesive seeping out of painter's tape.WWD

I was incredibly skeptical, borderline cynical whenever I saw people with these thumb rests on their X100 cameras. Nevertheless, this one was cheap enough to try it for myself. When I first used it, I still found it funny, and completely unnecessary. If I take 20 pictures indoors with the camera, there is no need for this at all. However, when I go out for a whole day, I appreciate the better grip, so it has eventually stayed on my camera, and I got used to it so much that I no longer notice it.

Reviewing this item for Sony A6700. Great fitment and quality of materials. Fold out design allows access to menu wheel as advertised. However, in everyday use, I did not find it very helpful. Perhaps that is because I have been using Sony APSC camera bodies for so long that I have muscle memory which doesn't adapt to this accessory. There is already a raised area on the body to rest your thumb and blocking two dials (even with the swing-arm design) means not everyone will adopt the ergonomics. Your experience may vary.

Purchased this to switch from the Haoge thumb grip which for whatever reason would not slide into my X100F’s hot shoe. This one did so with no problem whatsoever. Overall it does what it’s intended to do: give better gripping ability especially in handling the camera one-handed. The metal feels solid and well made and matches the silver metal. For those concerned about the attachment rubbing up against the metal housing of the camera there is at least a millimeter or two clearance between so there’s little chance of scuffing. GRIPES: works ergonomically but for some reason they did not account for the thumb rest to interfere with the real scroll wheel. which makes it hard to operate. This is where the $59 Lensmate has an advantage Will see if what happens with extensive use.

This is a comfortable, solid thumbgrip for my Sony 6700. This is a solid, well made thumbgrip for my Sony 6700. Obviously it's no Match Technical Thumbsup, but for 1/10th as much money it does a perfectly fine job. I particularly like the way it smoothly folds out of the way when I need to access the main control wheel.

Thumb grips do their best to work around a design issue that makes this camera hard to carry around. The design of this product aims to still give the user access to the back buttons/wheel and to the top ISO wheel, but it is only partly successful. I doubt that I'll use it and I would have been better off buying one of the hand grips instead (which are all more expensive, but a better solution to the problem).

Diese Daumenstütze steigert den Tragekomfort der Nikon Zfc ungemein. Sicher, ganz perfekt ist es nicht, denn nach anbringen der Daumenstütze lassen sich die Räder für die Belichtungskorrektur und das hintere Einstellrad nur noch deutlich schlechter bedienen, so das ich diese Daumenstütze auch hin und wieder beim Fotografieren entfernen muss. Ich fotografiere aber meistens mit der Blendenvorwahl, die ich mir auf das vordere Einstellrad gelegt habe, so das ich, trotz angebrachter Daumenstütze, die Kamera sehr angenehm, bedienen kann. Die Nikon Z fc ist nun mal eine Kamera in Retro Optik und der analogen Fm2 nachempfunden und besitzt damit auch die selben ergonomischen Schwächen, macht sie aber halt auch gerade deshalb zu einem solchem Schmuckstück. Diese Daumenstütze ist sicher nur ein Kompromiss, diese mangelnde Ergonomie wieder auszugleichen, ohne gleichzeitig die Optik der Kamera zu zerstören, aber ich finde, hätte der Hersteller weiter hoch, oder runter gezogen, oder den Abstand der Stütze zum Kamerabody erhöht, wäre es aus mit dem Tragekomfort. Auch wenn ich die Daumenstütze hin und wieder abnehmen muss, bin ich äusserst zufrieden mit meinem kauf. Ferner ist diese Stütze sehr sauber und Hochwertig gearbeitet und sie lässt sich schnell, einfach und zuverlässig befestigen.
