Keeps toddlers out, saves my sanity and my back--must for any new parent!
Would have rated 5 stars for this, but took one star for a minor thing that may be a big deal to people worried about damage.Setup: 5 StarsThese straps can extend to have about 6" of space in between the two anchor points. Each strap has two ends--one to extend the length and the other where a small slider that the parent can unlock the strap from the anchor to access the cabinet/toilet, wherever you install it. To install, it is extremely easy. On the end without the slider/unlock, anchor the strap to the length desired, then slide the cover to lock it in place. Then remove the sticker covers and place across any openings you want to prevent your curious toddler/pet to access. Simple push on each end to secure it in place and you're done! You can trim the excess strap if you don't like it or want to discourage your toddler/pet from playing on it.Usability: 5 StarsOnce installed, you can unlock these with only one hand! This is extremely helpful when being used in the kitchen and usually you have something in your hand already. You only need to push the slider half an inch to the side and the end snaps off instantly. To close it, simply close the door it is attached to and push the end onto the anchor to snap in place. The process takes only a few seconds--which is essential when you have a toddler that has seen their opportunity and is running to get in the door! These have been very successful in my house on doors, cabinets, toilets and any other bins I don't want my son to access.Removal: 4 StarsThe removal process is fairly easy. It can be done by a hairdryer held over the ends to soften the sticker. The only issue that has made me mark it down a star is that it can take 5 -10 minutes of doing this per strap set. If you have plenty of time and patience, then game on. But if not and you are too impatient, removing it before it is ready has left behind parts of the foam sticker residue. Though, this can be easily removed with a handy bottle of Goo Gone or a typical cleaner--which is why I have only docked it one star.Cost: 5 StarsMost stores carry a similar product of another brand, but are usually one for the cost of 6 of these--which is unbelievable considering if you're using these, you most likely have many more places than just one that you want to use these in your house. The other great thing is that these come with 6 outlet covers, which is assumed if you have a toddler running around--another placed I saved $$.Conclusion: 4 StarsFor a very curious and smart toddler, these bad boys have withstood without any issues. He has pulled from the, hung from them and hit them with toys to no avail. After a few moments of struggle, he's already concluded that it is impossible and does not bother to attempt anymore. My sanity is saved and so is my back from picking up everything in the kitchen on a 20 time daily basis. For anyone with toddlers, I HIGHLY recommend these.

Stuck Very Well
I purchased these to child lock our toilets. They stuck great, maybe even too much. When I put the first one on I accidently put it upside down from the way I wanted it and to get it off was super hard. I had to hold a blow dryer on it for like 5 minutes and the shove a credit card in between the sticky part and the toilet but I finally came off. It did come off clean (no sticky residue on the toilet) and the package came with 4 extra sticky pads so I was able to correct my mistake. The reason I gave this 4 stars was because I was mad about the fact that since they are adjustable you slide the one side to make it the length desired but when I picked up the first one and started to play with it I barely touched the piece and it locked into place. Once the piece is locked you cannot change it so I essentially wasted one of them because I could no longer adjust it. I believe there should be a large notification that they lock very easily and once they are locked they cannot be moved. I had to search through the directions the figure out how to get it unlocked only to find out that I couldn't.

get this if your kids are deterred by looks! if not... don't waste your time lol
I have a 2 and 3 year old who incessantly insist on purging my double door pantry and pulling everything off the shelves in search of "a snack". i'll spare you the now hilarious mishaps with flour, broom fights/injuries and Kool-Aid packets and jump to my need to secure the pantry. I was looking for something that didn't require us to drill into the door frame and this had great reviews. of note, bonus points for something that could also secure the bottom freezer drawer.read the directions before fiddling! you have to adjust the length of the strap before you lock the holding end in place. once it locks, it can not be undone so if the strap is not in place, you basically wasted that one lock/latch. after instructions were read and latch adhered I was ready for the test. it is easy for adults to maneuver so I was happy. long story short: my toddlers broke two of these in two days with just a couple minutes given each time. if your kids will simply look at the lock and obediently move along swiftly, get this lock! if your kids are persistent and motivated like mine, guardians.... move along to the next option. we're gonna break down and get a sliding bolt for the top of the frame.it didn't work long on the freezer either :(

Useful child safety items which every parent needs
My small one has reached a stage in her life where she has to open any drawers she see. To fix her drawer obsession i bought this lock :P. This lock has adhesive bases (two) which must be stuck to the doors and one of the base is a latch that can be opened by an adult. The issue i face with this lock is that opening is not easy (maybe this is to prevent the child from opening the door). But they could have made the mechanism a bit different. As of now the locks seems like it will hold for a long time, but only time can prove that. Also i didnt use the power outlet covers i received with this as i already have lot of cover outlets lying around.I was NOT paid for this review or neither did i get this item on a DISCOUNT

Cheaper is actually sometimes better:
I have purchased a brand of these same exact locks from Amazon, that cost a little more than these did, and I actually liked this brand and company more. The first locks, my son's were able to pull apart 2 of them somehow, and get into the kitchen cabinets. The company sent me the 2 to replace them but not before questioning me in a unbelieving sort of way, as though I was making something up to get something for free. I don't do things like that so I did the rational thing by just not responding. Needless to say, I needed more locks with having twin toddlers into everything, and didn't reorder from that company. These new locks are cheaper and even better because none of them have come apart as of yet, and the company is very eager to make sure their customers are satisfied with their purchase, which I have no complaints.
