American Dj Ftimer 700 Ttimer Remote For Fog Storm 700

Ok, so Halloween was coming last year I bought a fog machine. Cheap $ and it made a ton of fog but, the issue was it didn't have an option for a timer. So I bought another machine, American DJ Fog Storm 700 because it has an option for this remote timer. I ordered the timer, had it rush shipped only to find it was a defect. Come to find out here was a burn spot on the circuit board ..unfortunately it was not returnable as I had done a post-mortem to find that out. Both machines and the broken timer sat unused through the Halloween holiday. Lesson learned.This year I prepared ahead and ordered another timer. It arrived timely and was bought at a fair price. It is a fairly specific item so there isn't any options as far as style or choice. The timer was opened and hooked up to the 700 machine and the testing began. I had problems figuring out the operation, it is a bit confusing. Another reviewer has mentioned this as well. Directions that come with the 700 timer unit are different than the directions that come with the 700 fog machine. The fog machine directions are the ones I ultimately used. Unplug the fog machine power, plug in the timer and plug the fogger back in ..wait ..works excellently. I will now be able to set the fog machine up, and it will spew fog at a time and duration I specify giving me a hands free option for my Halloween display.

While the product shipped quickley, a day or two earlier than expected, it did not work. Unfortunately, I purchased the timer a few weeks before my big Halloween show but did not test it before then. I recieved the product in what appeared to be good condition. The packaging was good, even the outer box had not been UPS crush tested. In my rush to finish other projects, I put the timer aside and did not run it through it's paces beforehand. I know, big mistake on my part. Then comes the night of my Halloween show and poof!!! It did not work. The American DJ fogger that I had purchased much earlier worked just fine but I had to manually control the frequency/duration of the fog. It made for a very lack luster eerie graveyard. Now, with teardown, clean up and day to day life, I haven't been able to get the timer returned/replaced. Hopefully when I get a chance this weekend, I'll still be able to work something out!

This works fine to put your fogger on a timer, but beware the timer button! When it's pushed and the led is red it is inhibiting the timer feature. This is counter intuitive and I would think that when it button is down and the led is glowing, that's it's working, but when it's dark the timer is on! Think of it as a timer inhibitor. Other than that it works fine.

Works great as a timer for an American DJ Bubble Tron machine. It just plugs into the bubble machine and allows you to make it only work intermittently. I would give it five stars if it provided longer time between operation and if American DJ would have responded to my email inquiry as to this working with the bubble machine.

Ordered and received promptly......only they sent the wrong one.The box says FTIMERFS700 but the timer says FTIMERFS1200 and the plug is wrong.The 700 has a rectangular plug and the 1200 has a round plug.Ummm.....round plug square hole, really?!I'm returning and ordering another one. I'll change my review if they get it right this time.....

Only works with American DJ equipment.

I ordered this with the DJ 700 fog machine, can't tell you if it worked or not because there was no place to connect it to the fogger. The fogger didn't work either, burning smell and loud grinding noise. Both went back. I ordered a different brand, $30.00 more, and I hope it works, I need it for a party Thursday night.

It works exactly how I hoped. I just set the timer and walk away....let it go and do its thing.
