PASTE THAI RED

So I LOVE this curry paste. I think everyone is disappointed with this because they're not looking as just a "base". Any curry you buy whether its Thai, Indian, or whatever... you have to add additional ingredients to ensure it meets your specific taste buds. For my family, I sautés this paste with coconut oil on med-low heat and add: grated ginger and garlic, chopped fresh lemongrass (this makes a HUGE difference and I chop it up and keep in freezer), a splash of soy sauce, a teaspoon of sugar. I also add fresh Thai chillies for spice since we prefer spicy in our home. But this Curry paste is by for the best. I will say that this price is ridiculous! I've ordered from here but they have this at some Whole Foods for like $5!

Just plain not “going to eat this!”

I was under the impression this was suppose to have some spice. I more than tripled the amount and still hardly tasted anything.

This is definitely not red curry paste. It ruined my whole meal. So gross.

I look at the ingredients that it's made from, and I think, "Yeah, I like all of those. This paste should taste good."But then I taste it and it's just bad. There's a hint of sanity in there, maybe the onions at least lend a bit of good flavor, but the rest of it is just too bitter, or sour to be desirable to eat. Now, maybe there are some applications for it, but I thought it was very weak, and sharply bland. Perhaps my bottle was rotting, although I only bought it yesterday.Anyways, 2/10 is my score.

Terrible. No flavor. No spice. It isn't just bland, it smells weird when you cook it. Like hotdogs.... I wish I could give it zero stars.

Nothing like red curry paste. Bland and lacking in flavor. Guess what the first ingredient is - water!
