Good stuff! Could come in a larger container for proper use on a jacket and probably does. Ideal for waterproofing cloth like a boonie hat or even pants for instance. Once waxed though there is no going back, so unless whatever you use it on came waxed, try it on some similar material before committing. You will achieve a leathery look, just remember it can rub off on car seats and furniture.Heat to apply with rag and expect it to absorb some. Shoe polish can size.

I used it on two-year old Orvis jacket. I placed a microwaveable heat therapy item inside the jacket to keep wax warm and flowing. (Less cumbersome than hairdryer) I was able to cover whole coat and hood, in about an hour with a 1/3 of tin. Looks great -no white streaks. Water proofing seems good, but have not stress tested it in heavy rain.

Bought this to rewax a Rogue Territory Supply Jacket, unlined, size large. Used about 90% of the can.Keep in mind, this was my first time waxing or rewaxing a jacket, so maybe someone with more experience could chime in. I used about 90% of the tin of wax. I was able to get a generous even coat of wax on the entire exterior of the jacket. I did NOT wax the inside. I think 1 tin per wax per jacket is a good estimate. I cannot imagine needing more than 1 tin to wax a jacket.

Worked well on a frost river canvas messenger bag that was losing it water repellency. For easy application, turn on your oven to the lowest setting, let it heat up, then turn it off and let it sit for 10 minutes. Throw the bag in for 5-10 minutes to let it heat up. Take it out. Apply the wax with your fingers. Then through back in the oven (still off) for another 15-20 minutes. Works great.

I bought this to renew my J Crew messenger bag. I applied with my fingers and ran blow dryer over it. Ruined my J Crew waxed canvas messenger bag. My bag has these dark areas now and I can’t get them out. See photos of before and after.

Purchased to reseal a moleskin hat. A little bit went a long way. Really nice product and brought the hat back to its original waterproof status. It does dry with a slightly glossy finish though. Not a big deal but maybbe a helpful note to those looking for a more satin sheen.
