Great for my special education classroom.

This is my daughter’s second one of this product. The first one lasted over 12 yrs and then lost a spring making it unable to work. It took a beating. I bought a cheaper version of disabled scissors and it broke in weeks, so I went back to this product for longevity! Works fabulously especially for someone with little fine motor skills! …Update, the newer scissor broke 6/19/23. While the first one lasted 10 years, the new one only lasted 7 mths. A bit too expensive to replace that soon after purchasing!

My grandson is now 11 years old and for the first time he is able to use scissors. Easy to use and builds confidence.

Update, 01/22/2022: These scissors no longer spring back to open position. My staff and I are very careful with all our class resources (I pay for >90% of resources out of my own pocket) and cannot figure out why they failed so soon. I purchased 10/2021 and we had 3 weeks plus 2 days off between receipt and the day the scissors failed, so these scissors were used significantly less than the first set I purchased which last over 2 years with 6 students using 3-4 times per day. This set was being used by 1 student 3-4 times per day. Disappointing. Original post, 10/2021: Used in special education mod-severe on a daily basis. Works as expected. Scissors are decent quality; base is thin lightweight plastic. Slides on laminate desk tops. I recommend use with a piece of rubber, dycem or other similar producr to prevent base from sliding. Price is VERY high for quality

We bought several of these for use in our classrooms. They break within a few weeks.
