Perfect to connect two components together
We use a HDD docking station (for bare drives) connected to a WD media player to play video files ripped from our DVD library (stored in VOB format) It also travels with us in our RV so we have several hundred movies & TV series to watch in a relatively compact format (stored on three drives).As such, the two gadgets typically sit side-by-side & are connected with this short USB cable - which is much neater & easier to deal with than your typical 3m cable. Only wish it was available in USB 3.0!
