Made in China. I had to modify the washer nut by steel filing the washer flat on two sides to fit into the smaller opening then use a thin wall socket and shove it in there (mildly bending plastic walls) to get it to tighten and for some reason the assembly would not go tight against the sheetmetal - so it's slightly loose but, with the custom mod. "it" works. The hole for the cable fitting was not slotted but, you can still install oem cable into this handle - then attach cable end = not typical procedure method. Just not wide enough opening where nut/washer has to go to accept oem washer or a typical socket. '06 Suburban. Other than that - I'm living with it after the modification to the now LOOSE installation.

Mounting/bolt hole surround is a bit too narrow. The factory GM 2-in-1 washer/nut was too big for the opening/surround, making it pretty much impossible to thread the nut. I got angry and just broke off the top portion of the surround. It was still a little snug but it worked(still retained it's functionality and structural integrity). I could have ground down the washer portion of the 2-in-1 nut/washer but I was running late for my annual state inspection.

This hood release gizmo fits and works on the '05 Silverado. The nut/washer assembly is a little tight on space, but it threaded on there and tightened up just fine. I lubed up the latch assembly and hopefully the new release part will live a long life.

It works as it should and is made well BUT! For those of you in familiar with automotive or engineering in general listen. The bolt hole was not the same as original but not a big deal at all. Simply resize the hole or do what I did and found a bolt smaller but the correct thread and it goes in perfect.

Just installed a works like the original one , I’m happy with it , cost and effective.Note , you do have to grind down the original nut when you installed it not a big deal, or you can get a nut without the flange washer.

Obviously this product is not OEM so this is not perfect, but it gets the job done with a little bit of improvisation. With my 2006 Silverado truck, I struggled to put new one install due the hex washer & nut is a bit too big. I can't find the alternative nut & washer so I ended up, force-bend the washer itself to fit inside the hood hatch release.

This part Is Cheap made Plastic and broke before I could install it And Verey Disappointed and was A Waste of money ! Trash Don’t buy !! I went To auto zone And Bought one Exactly Like it And Cheaper And Is Made In USA And Made Of better material And More durable !! Suggest Go There and Buy It They Are Pretty Much Universal And will fit Different models

Easy to install and works as it should. No problems.

Le queda perfecto a la Chevrolet Avalanche mod. 2002, es de buena calidad la recomiendo, por un momento pense que no le quedaria pero me equivoque le quedo muy bien.
