PROSTAFF 3S 10x42

We wanted binoculars for a recent trip to Alaska and this unit was selected. We did some research which I recommend to anyone looking at getting binoculars as there are a lot of features that may better suit the need/situation. For us this was a great option for price, performance, convenience and our need.After purchasing and using the binoculars, we were very satisfied. They bring in a lot of light and the image was enlarged and clear for spectacular magnified views. This is a great unit and not very expensive. It will be interesting to see how these hold up over time.

Well worth the money for what it is, almost bought Chinese knockoff glad I didn't . Nice and light, can hold very steady, very clear view as I have been using 45 year old Bushnell Insta-focus which did the job but these are quite the step up. Glad to have chose the 10 x 40 as things come in so much closer. Can see the treeline real clear across the lake. Haven't seen any Eagles yet but these will definitely do the job. they don't fog up after being outside in cold damp climate unless you nose breath over eyeglass , then you can just wipe with T-shirt and you're good to go. The eyeglass cover stays loose like everybody else say's , but I would only use it while it's in it's case anyway, I will never use covers outdoors either. All in all, they won't disappoint.

Extremely happy with these Nikon binoculars! Took them on a month-long trip to Alaska and used them almost every day. Very bright and clear optics, with a good field of view for their size and magnification. Also, as an eyeglass wearer, I can report that they work find when wearing prescription glasses due to their adjustable eyecups that allow the user to easily change the eye relief to suit his/her glasses setup.When looking at binoc specs, the first number (10) is the magnification, while the second number is the field of view (oversimplified, but generally speaking, the larger the number, the wider field of view you have). We bought these to supplement a pair of Pentax 8x binocs and other Nikon 16x binocs. These Nikons are fairly compact while delivering great optics. They easily fit in the front pocket of my camera bag, making for a nice grab-and-go setup for an active trip. I never thought twice about bringing them along, as they are light and small. With three binoculars along for the trip, these Nikons were the ones everyone wanted to use. I'll probably be buying another set shortly.

Exceptional glass clarity for the price range. Well built and solid construction. The Nikon brand name can usually be trusted to provide good performance for a mid range price point and this item meets that standard.

These are great quality binoculars! The image is bright even in relatively low light. The image is very clear and crisp. Great quality for the price.

I received these binoculars as a gift a few years ago and use them all the time for bird watching, sightseeing and other general uses(watching boats etc). So, I bought these as a gift and they loved them. They’re well made, quality lenses, good size and weight, perfect for most users.
