Custom Wood Board Use as cutting board, cheese board, or serving board or tray. This board is constructed of face grain Cherry Wood. This wood came from a cherry tree that was knocked down by Hurricane Fran on a farm in Burgaw, NC in 1996. This tree was milled on site and the wood has been stacked an air drying in a tobacco barn on the farm for the past 20 years. Here's your chance to own a piece of reclaimed NC history! This board measures 9"x18"x0.875" These are all hardwoods that will sustain continued use for years to come will protecting the blades of your knife. To top it off, our boards are aesthetically pleasing enough to be put on display in your kitchen to double as a conversation starter. This board was hand made by myself in my one-person shop located in Wilmington, NC. My boards are crafted with attention to detail and made to last for many years to come. All products used are food safe. When complete, the boards are given several coats of food safe mineral oil before being treated with a beeswax/mineral oil mixture. The boards are NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. They should be hand washed with warm water and mild dish soap if needed. For best results, wipe the board with mineral oil monthly or whenever it starts to look a little dry.
