Grain Millers Thick Rolled Oats, 25lbs

This 3 star review is not a reflection of the seller but of the product. I have been buying rolled oats in bulk for years. Though my last 25 lb of rolled oats was labeled “Thick” on several places on the bag, they are not thick. I buy thick rolled oats because I don’t want to eat mush. My normal microwave cooking time is 4 minutes for thick oats. These oats are mush after 1:30 minutes. These oats are produced by Grain Millers. I don’t know if it’s a processing problem, labeling problem, quality control issue or all of the above. The previous purchase from Grain Millers was fantastic. I’ve also had this issue with Great River oats. I have concluded that rolled oats are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get. Good luck!
