Geargrip Lite CPU Holder

Im using this as a battery holder. I used these holders to hold my heavy computer towers back in the day. Still stands up to what they were design to do!!

I purchased the holder to use it with my NZXT Source 210 ATX Mid Tower for LAN events. The holder seems well build, sturdy and did not have a problem keeping my tower stable for me to carry around. Only issue I had with it is that the length of the top portion (handle portion) makes it so that the straps are positioned right where the rubber bumpers under the tower are. I had to push the straps inward toward the center of the tower to avoid having the straps sit right on the bumpers. This made the straps sit a bit diagonally but the holder itself was still stable and tight.I was thinking if the handle portion up top was somehow adjustable (at least on one end of it via the strap) it would make it easier to adjust the length and avoid issues with any bumps. This could also help avoid having the strap sit on a vent intake, which in my case one of the straps was right over the intake for the power supply. Not a big issue, it just meant I had to remove the holder from my tower before starting it up. It would've been nice to leave it on for the whole LAN event but it only takes a few seconds to un-clip and remove.

It does the job, but it could do it better. I bought two because I recently moved... one for a CPU and one for a large bass module of the same shape. It's easy to install and makes the things SO much easier to carry. However, I've yet to find one that combats the straps sliding out of place. While the top crossover of this model is stiff, and helps a little, that doesn't help much when the straps slide towards each other on the bottom. You could put the straps outside the CPU's feet, but then you risk them slipping outward and the whole thing falling off. A small adjustable retainer that you could run across the lower front and back of the CPU, which would hold the main straps in place against the inside of the feet, would be VERY welcome.

Very sturdy web straps and good sewing and good snap buckles. Everyone can find a use for one! Whole case of wine? No problem. That's safety lifting and worth the time to strap it up. Heavy shipping like Airlines Checked or Overhead is really easy with a strong Handle and Top-Bar simple design. If TSA needs to open it....it's easy for them too...out-performs rope and tape by a lot. Could easily be used for lifting rolled carpet, or area rugs, like skis or even lumber... It just creates a real safe lift and carry. I bought another for a friend who lifts a lot of wine in/out of his car.

I got this rig based on a similar one I saw in use some time ago. Now I have a condition that makes it nearly impossible to walk without one hand being used to steady myself. That had put items that are not terribly heavy, but are unwieldy to carry with only one hand free, out of reach for me. This Geargrip can be used for a wide range of such objects: CPU cases, printers, monitors, scanners, countertop kitchen appliances, sound equipment, and other stuff I used to "hug" to carry because there was no handle or grip on the case. This device puts on a handle and lets me again do stuff I had been unable to do safely. Not a bad deal for 25 bucks.

This goes around an O11 Dynamic (standard size) with a few more extra inches of slack. This works especially well with this case since the bottom is raised so the straps won't slide off the bottom. The important part for me is it makes it easier to move the PC up and down stairs.I keep one strap undone when not moving as one of the straps blocks the side intake for my case.

I was a bit concerned after reading one review that indicated that the computer could slip out of the straps but found that with the straps properly tightened there was absolutely no danger of the computer slipping. My computer was safe and secure to carry anywhere. This was the first chance I had to use this and it is great. I take my computer in to be serviced now and then and it was always a struggle to carry it in from my vehicle. This made the trip so much easier to do. As you can see from the picture there is a lot of strap left over on my computer so the device can accommodate quite a range of sizes.

Its a good product, and its very strong material, but I wouldn't just carry my computer around with this with no care in the world. The straps on the bottom of the computer often slide out from under the tower and if I was not already holding the computer with two hands I'd watch it fall to the floor. It does work well for short or assisted lifting of your computer tower. So long story short your not going to pick up by the handle and walk a block to your friends house, but it might be good enough to go from the desk to the floor, or maybe from your desk out to your car. Not sure how this would compare to their higher end version that also has sides to place the keyboard, I'm wondering if that may prevent the slipping of the straps.
