Blue Dot Safes Second Amendment Fire-Resistant Gun Safe, 72x40x27-Inch

this safe is great. for the price you cant find better quality, size, and fire rating. did a lot of research and choose this because an independent review stated blue dot safes are often better than those costing twice as much. the most common complaint for any safe is space, for long guns the number of slots does not accurately represent how many guns will fit unless they are all small with no scopes. realisticly this safe can hold more like 24 rifles/shotguns with scopes and thats even a little cozy, but more than enough for me.i had a great experience with their customer service...after ordering i requested that the lock be changed to a mechanical dial from the electronic keypad. they were easy to get in touch with and made the swap for no extra charge they even gave me the opportunity to pick the combination.moving the thing was a little daunting but two grown men with a few small pipes made fast work of it, even up a ramp over a 6" ledge into the house thru the garage. once installed and filled, no more worries about the security of our firearms and other valuables this thing is rugged and beautiful.

This safe is heavy. Like extremely heavy. You can't actually imagine how heavy until it's time to stick it in your house somewhere. It arrived on a truck just like they said, as if I expected it to come in a Fiat. The driver was cordial and helpful. The safe was placed in the garage which will be its final resting place because moving it 3 feet into place was enough of a chore so forget about getting it into the house. It has a lot of room. If you can't fit all the guns in here, you have too many guns. Good job Blue Dot.

This is my 3rd gun safe and I have to say for an inexpensive safe it's very well made! I needed more room and this 72" x 40" x 24" safe sure fits what I need. I really like the door storage sleeves as well.

This safe is just as advertised. We love the pockets in the door, they save soooo much room. This safe is worth every penny.

This is a lot of safe for the money. Giving it 5 stars base on value. No, it's not a commercial grade safe, but for under $1500, it definitely fits the bill for an entry level home gun safe. I am very satisfied.As fare as size, you could fit 3 grown men in this thing easily.

The good:I purchased this safe from another online vendor when they were having a 10% sale. This is a LOT of safe for the price!The over all construction, powder coating, shipment protection are all great, not outstanding... just great.There is a predrilled hole for future power which is nice. The door swings very smoothly and locks and unlocks nicely.To be noted:This is an imported residential security container, not a high end TL30 type SAFE.*obviouslyThe door gap is 1/16 on the bottom and 3/16 - 1/4 on the top and sides.The upper shelves are flimsy and droop under minimum weight.The lower vertical dividers are not equal height. (3/4" difference.)The anchor holes through the fire board are off center from the holes in the steel.There was slight shipping damage on arrival. Contacted Blue Dot and after 4 phone transfers I was told to Email pictures of damage and bill of sale. No further contact has been made. Decided to keep the safe as the damage was on the rear of the safe.

Fit and finish is great. Plenty of shelving inside to move around to suit your needs. The door pockets are included and are perfect for pistols and valuables. Mine came with the mechanical lock which is smooth and easy to use. I've seen and played with the safes in the big box and sporting goods stores. It's at least as good as the Liberty's I saw or the Stack-On owned by friends. Delivery was to my garage door, from there, me and my teenage daughter moved this 1000lb safe into a closet in the house using only three sections of 3/4" PVC pipe and a stick for leverage - easy to do, check around the web. The key is that we never had the safe more than an inch off the ground.

Do not buy a blue dot safe....they will not honor the warranty
