I absolutely love the light duty expandable/collapsible water hose. It does exactly what the description says. For years now, I had been hauling a 100 ft hose connected to a 50 ft hose, in order to water my summer flowers and vegetables. It was a dreaded duty. This year I got the bright idea to relocate my outside faucet and purchase this 100 ft hose. When I turn the water on, I make sure the hose isn't twisted. That way, it expands the full length and has full water pressure. When I'm done with it, I turn the water off, leaving the sprayer open until the hose has fully collapsed. It fits neatly on a small hook tucked neatly behind a shrub. My package arrived 2 days after my order was placed. It contained a nice little tips sheet for using the hose. UPDATE: I originally gave my review 5 stars. After using the hose for a few days, the fabric frayed, the rubber tubing expanded and burst. Thinking I received a defective product, I returned it and purchased a new hose. Within a week, the same thing happened. Tony from Detroit Tool and Supply contacted me and quickly shipped out complimentary hoses for me to try. I have not put the replacements into service yet but will update this review when I do.

The hose is great, works exactly as I expected. It's light, no kinks, so much easier to use than my old one. What's really impressive is customer service at Detroit Tool and Supply. I originally purchased the hose couple of months ago, but didn't use it until May 12th. The hose started leaking immediately. I emailed Detroit Tool and Supply hoping for directions on how to fix it. Within couple of hours I received the reply asking for my address to send me a new one. I received it today, 3 days after my first email. I used it immediately and it's perfect.

Update:10/02/16- the hose died. It started leaking along its sides to the point no water came out the end. Sad it only lasted a season.I've owned many hoses....hoping this one will last. Very easy to water flowers, shrubs or clean the car and it only takes seconds to put away. No more wrestling or untangling a long regular hose. I'll have to check back in a few months if it's still holding up.

I don't think there's a huge difference in all the different expandable houses on the market, but there is huge difference in the companies that sell them! My wife loved this hose and used it every day to water our flower beds. This hose inexplicably developed a pinhole leak in the first month of use. It was past the Amazon return policy date, but I decided to write to Detroit Tool & Supply because I initially ordered from this company because they "claimed excellent customer service"!I can now confirm that claim because they took care of my leaky hose with friendly, fast, and excellent customer service

This is an excellent product. The price was right and the shipping quick and included in my Prime Membership. Got an email from the seller to make sure that I was happy and I am. The brass ends are very sturdy and sealed up properly at the faucet and nozzle end. I normally think that I will need to buy one of these each year as the previous products have not lasted that long but this one seems to be sturdy and I think it will last a few years.

I purchased this hose in the early spring. We did not use it for a few months due to the weather. The 4th time we used it it started leaking at the connector for the nozzle. I immediately wrote an e-mail on a weekend to Detroit Tool and Supplyand within a few hours I recieved a reply from them saying they would replace the hose. On Monday I recieved a new hose. Talk about excellent customer service. I would recommend a hose from Detroit Tool and Supply. I have been around long enough to know that occassionally a problem in manufacturing will occur.

Finally able to ditch my 1000lb hose! This makes watering enjoyable again. Would give it 5 stars except the hose itself gets soaked for some reason, as if the eater seeps through the material which isn't a problem for me but might be for some. It's worth it for the convenience.

Well I finally decided to try one of these hoses, I have a large yard and lugging 100' of hard plastic hose that kinked in several places every time I used it was really ticking me off so I ordered a 100' expandable/collapsible hose, I should have done this a long time ago. The hose is amazing, it's light, it expands to give me the same volume of water I had with the hard plastic hose, the brass fittings are top notch and swivel with ease at the nozzle end. I gave my old hose and the big bulky hose reel to my daughter. This hose is worth every penny.
