3 Lb Rig Counter Weight

I received a defective item because the rod won't fit into one of the holes. How is it you can screw up something so simple? It's not a nuclear reactor, it's just a hole in a piece of metal, that I'm being charged $50 for. Also, on that same hole, the tightening clamp doesn't work properly, you have to use the allen wrench to tighten it - as another customer complained. They could train monkeys to make these things, but it still wasn't done right. It took forever for "PS Productions" to reply to my return request (3 days, as opposed to Amazon direct sales which are in less than 24 hours). No answer to my messages (that's what happens when "PS" is ashamed of himself and his product), and then when I did get my return request answered - now I have to pay the return shipping (again, unlike Amazon direct). I will never deal with "PS" any more!!!

I am a film student and I was looking for a solid, reliable, well-fitting counter weight for my dslr shoulder rig. I use a Opteka CXS-300 Dual-Grip Video 15mm rod rail shoulder stabilizer and the weight fit perfectly right behind the shoulder mount. The weight is about 3.5 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches thick Which is pretty small so it doesn't take up too much space on your rails. The tighteners are a solid quality metal and don't feel like they'll give or strip anytime soon. It also has two rubber linings (black) around it which meas you won't scratch or chip anything if it bumps into something.All around awesome counter weight. Would definitely suggest to any budget film makers who want a semi-professional looking and well balanced rig.

Two black rings fell off quickly and one of the screw knob tighten things just spins and doesn't actually tighten.

Fits perfectly on my rig and the rubber rings (to prevent it from smashing things) is a nice touch. The only downside are the wingnuts themselves. They aren't very effective at tightening. Basically, you get to a certain point,and they just keep spinning. So I've just left it attached to the rods and tightened them down with an allen wrench.

It does the job.

Just as good as any of the Zacuto counter weights, butfor a fraction of the price.

Fits and works great. Look and feel is solid. I'd purchase this item again. I don't see why anyone would want to purchase some of the more expensive counter weights sold through Amazon because this one is perfect. Delivered before the estimated arrival date. I'd order this product again.
