Don't have lean or reach way over side of the boat.. have friends that swing downrigger to the front along side of boat to retrieve. I downrigger set..stop weight short and just pull weight up... Must have for me

Why didnt the down rigger come with this?
This is a must if you have a Cannon down rigger, it allows you to retrieve the weight easily.

Easy and safe weight retrieval
If you use a down Rigger of any kind you should have this. It makes retrieving the down rigger weight an easy and safe way to get it back in your boat. I would like to see all down rigger manufacturers include this item with the down rigger.I purchased one even before I decided on which down Rigger I was going to buy.

Worth every penny
Fairly easy to install, just a remove a couple of screws to split it in half, place it over the downrigger line, then place it back together and re-install the screws.As far as the actual product goes, it sure makes life easier bringing the release and downrigger ball and close to the boat for tackle changes! If one of mine ever fails, I'll certainly be replacing it with another...

Purchased two, when assembling one noticed screw hole was blocked tried to clear but drill kept drifting, unfortunately screw head snapped when screwing together hopefully it will stay together. Also both units were scratched up and not in manufacture packaging.
