Gryphon - Fuser's Heavy Duty Blade (C40)

This blade cuts through glass and tile like it was butter.

This name is much better than the regular blade. It cuts right through hard stones without breaking or bending. I will use this blade from now on.

I love this blade for cutting designs in hard stone slabs, not for cutting the slabs themselves.. It cuts nicely and it's thickness works well for cutting straighter lines than do the thinner counterparts. Of course this means haveing to have some patience when it comes to more intricate designs. But it does make the cutting faster on the less intricate areas of a cut.

Blade was easy to install, thicker than original blade that came with the saw. Have used it extensively on sheet glass and bottles and seems to work well. No complaints. Have ordered from this vendor before and they are reliable.

The Black Diamond is much better, the HD fuser's is all show &no go. Big prices for these blades. Make me want to get back into my true passion, woodworking

While this is a heavier blade, it does not justify the inflated price tag. Stick with the cheaper blades. I use them both. The other issue here is that Gryphon is not real big on backing up their blades if there is a problem, and will get nasty if you call them out on it. I've gotten a couple of Fuser's that weren't up to spec, right out of the box. Ironically, the cheaper blade companies (like Kent) stand behind their product, within reason and cut just as well. I use these blades to shape Pietersite, Charoite and Rhodocrosite pre-forms - all pretty pricey material, on a Gryphon C40. I average about 60-70 cuts with the Fuser and about 30-40 with the other brands which are about 1/4 the price around the net. One more thing: always change your blade guides when changing blades for the most accurate cuts and longest blade life and use lots of cool, clean water while cutting.
