We had been struggling for weeks to get a urine sample from our senior cat. Thankfully, they decided this was a much better option than using an empty litter box! It worked exactly as described, the urine stayed on top in small pools, making it easy to collect a clean sample. This made a frustrating process so much easier, and I highly recommend it if you need a urine sample from your cat.

AMAZING. Haven’t brought sample to vet yet (to be seeing if contamination, etc) but value and collection process can’t be beat!! It comes with 3 collections worth. I used an aluminum disposable baking tin as a “sterile” liter box and dumped the package of litter, and my cat was intrigued and went like normal! I used two of the three vials because I think I got a piece of liter in the first one (just to be safe so the vet doesn’t reject it), but those are easy to order! Literallt can’t recommend enough. Saving $100-200+ in vet urine collection process, and the stress/hassle for your pet of the needle extraction from the bladder or ultrasound! My cat has reoccurring UTIs, and knowing I can now at home just take a sample if I think something is up, and bring to the vet for them to analyze really is putting me at ease.

The most amazing product to get a cat’s urine sample. The urine stays on top and I lifted the litter box so it would pool to one of the corners and I had more than enough to use for a sample. One litter package lines the bottom of a smaller/regular size litter box. My cat had no problems using it. Three syringes and test tube containers come with the product. I filled all three and went directly to the vet to drop them off. It was so easy and I was most happy that my cat endured zero stress to get the end result. Who ever invented this product, I’m sending a huge thank you!

Been trying for 24 hours to get a sample with the Beads. This literally just came and I poured it into the litter box and in 5 seconds I got my sample!! Incredible Product. Highly recommend!

This made it very easy to collect urine. We tested 2 of our cats. The product being hydrophobic, it was easy to clean the urine out and reuse it. Both cats used it right away. I think they preferred this over their regular litter. It looks and feels like sand. It is so much better than the crystals many vets give out. We bought 2 packs based on other reviews. Two packs worked, but 3 would have been much better. If you buy just 1, you will be very frustrated as it is not nearly enough. The price tag for 2 packs made me cringe but after using it and realizing it can be reused to monitor our cat with urine crystals (checks for blood with test strips we bought separately) the price seemed well worth it. If I could only use it once, I would have a much more negative review of it. I would have rated it 5* for quality but I deducted 1* for the small amount you get for the price.

Works well, has everything required to get a sample. Only concern is there's only 2 pounds and that requires a special small litter box.

I am so glad I found this product as I did not like the small container of beads the vet gave me to collect my cat’s urine. I was worried with what was provided to me that my cat would not use a litter box. With this product, she used it within a few short minutes of me swapping out her normal litter box. I was able to collect the sample I needed with ease and returned her normal box and litter. My cat and I thank you for providing this product!

My cat needed a urinalysis. So the vet gave me a "kit" which was a small litter pan plus one little baggie of this hydrophobic sand. That was such a pitiful amount. Like, just a tiny smattering of litter, it couldn't even coat the bottom of the small pan. My cat took one look and said "what the heck is this - Nope." She is indoor/outdoor so she was just holding it until she went outside. Clearly this wasn't going to work. So I headed to Amazon to buy this larger bag of the stuff. Inside there are three little baggies of the same size the vet was giving me. So in effect I quadrupled the amount of sand that I was originally given, and that was a sufficient amount that my cat found it acceptable and peed on it. It was easy to then suck up a sample with the included dropper. So, it was kind of wasteful for me to have to use so much sand to get my cat to pee on it, but it was worth it to get the urine sample we needed. Unfortunately the sand can't be re-used due to contamination. I am re-ordering another bag because I have to get a follow up sample after kitty's course of antibiotics. I deducted a star for the price. It's really expensive for the amount you get. Being that it's divided into three baggies, one bag is *supposed* to be what your cat is expected to use as litter and it's a laughably small amount, which is why I ended up having to use the whole thing.

This is an awesome product. We have been using Pretty litter and when it indicated blue meaning possible urinary tract infection we phoned the vet. They explained we could find a product such as this to collect a sample for them to test. They explained it is a much more difficult process in the office as one of my cats is shall we say aggressive with the vet. So we tried another product first which I'm sure works fine for some but my cats wouldn't use it as it looked and felt nothing like cat litter. So round 2 I found this product and it seemed to fix the issues I was having. I set up a small litter box and separated my cats they each had a turn. I was amazed this product feels and looks like sand but let me tell you it acts very different. It was amazing the cats jumped right in they can't resist a fresh litter box. The urine sits perfectly on top and was extremely easy to collect and put in the sample tube. I labeled and placed the samples in the fridge to bring to the vet in the morning. Once at the vet it only took them around 15 minutes to process the samples. We found that our little boy Romeo had a mild bladder infection. We caught it early so a bit of antibiotics and a food change and we were good to go. I will be using this product exclusively anytime I am concerned with my pets health. It is such an easy and affordable process. I just want to thank the makers of this amazing medical tool.

Our cat seemed to not even entertain the idea of using any of the other bead-like urine sample collection litters, but she took to this one almost immediately and without any fuss. The urine was very easy to collect after, as it pooled on top of the litter. Easy to clean, too. Also, importantly, there is enough of it to cover the whole tray area, in case your cat is fussy about there being enough litter in the tray. It seems expensive, but considering it contains three bags of it, it's actually quite comparable in price to the seemingly cheaper ones which only come in one small bag, roughly of similar quantity to 1/3 of the total you'll get from this.
