Beaded Allure: Beadweaving Patterns for 25 Romantic Projects

Beautiful and inspiring
I love this book so much-it's my favorite bead book ever. The projects are so beautiful and inspiring that I'm planning to make almost every single project. With most bead books there are only a few projects that are to my taste, but I love almost every one of the 25 in this book. The author's romantic but current style and color choices are great. The beautiful models, styling, and photography also enhance the visual pleasure of this book, and the individual steps are shown with clear, up close photographs. This is a great bead book if you enjoy beadweaving with seed beads and love to make romantic, feminine, beautiful pieces of jewelry. The only thing I would like to be different about this book is that I wish the author would have listed more shopping sources in the back and the exact color, finish, and manufacturer names for the beeds she used on each project so I could replicate her creations exactly. I've been scouring beading sites trying to find the exact color and make of seed beads used on the gorgeus bracelet I'm going to make first. Fortunately, the photographs are so great that I don't think I'll have too much trouble color-matching, and of course, all the materials needed are still listed completely and clearly for each project. There is only one way this book could be better: if it weren't the only one by this author! I hope she writes another book soon.

A wonderful book!!!
I love this book! I like the quality of the paper and binding, the wonderful photos, and the step-by-step instructions with pictures and text. Best of all: this is the only beading book I have found where I would like to make almost half of the 25 projects in the book. The jewlery is beautiful, as you can see in the sample pages of the book they show on amazon.I have started one of the necklaces and it is very easy to follow the instructions, even though I am not an experienced beader (I just started). How fun it is to make something really delicate and beautiful right away! This books makes it possible for me.I did find one mistake in the instructions, I think. On page 95 in Picot piece pattern step 9 it says to repeat the last step 8 more times, but I think it needs to be only 2 more times. But, even as a beginner that was easy for me to see, since the photos show almost every step of jewlery construction, and they show it very well, so it was not a problem for me.If you like any of the projects, I would buy this book.

I Adore this Book
I knit, crochet, sew, embroider, create various types of jewelry, lampwork and now I've added beading with seed beads to the list. Rarely, in any of my creative endeavors do I find a book that has more than one pattern that I really like and even more rarely do I like the colors that are used. I love every pattern in this book, design and colors, and want to make them all, even ones I would not personally wear. So, the book gets 5 stars on the designs alone. The actual instructions are fairly clear and easy to follow with good step by step photos (love love love) and illustrations. I only have one complaint and it's really more of a wish than complaint. The required componant and bead list is there however I do wish the brand beads and colors that were actually used in the demo were listed.I'm very glad I purchased this book, both the kindle version and the physical copy and I highly recommend adding this to your library.

I Adore This Book.
Kelly Wiese has written such a wonderful book with Beaded Allure. The projects are amazing and doable. Not like some books where you look at the projects and are like yeah right this is going to cost how much to make. Not saying it will be cheap to make the projects but it all depends on the quality of the materials you use in the long run.Anyway about the book, the projects are in great detail, and are guided with clear and pristine instructions and photographs throughout the book. Each project lists all materials and amounts required for said projects. It is extremely easy to follow along with the projects because of how well Kelly wrote them out.I love this book so much that I am buying it in print form also. Right now I have the Kindle addition. Thanks for reading my review, if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Beaded Allure
I have an extensive library of books related to beading, chain maile and other 3 Demensional arts. This book is the best of all of them. The projects themselves are amazing and beautiful. None of my other books and magazines have anything like the projects in this book. Usually I find seveal projects I don't care for, however my goal with Beaded Allure is to finish all the projects and give them as gifts. The written instructions are very easy to understand. There is no assumption the reader already knows how to do any of the stitch steps. Along with the photos showing what to do with each step even a beginning beader should be able to do most of the projects in the book. For the beginner I highly recommend starting with the Tiara Necklace. A wonderful gift for ladies of all ages and along with the earrings and bracelt an ensenble for any bride. 5 Stars on this book.

Delicately romantic, and not cheesy!
I'm very impressed with these patterns as opposed to other "lacey" seed bead projects I've seen. One great thing about this book is that the step by step photo instructions(which are some of the best out there), show the project in the exact same beads as the finished product photo. I like to be able to look at a step and easily locate it in the product photo. I've completed one project and found the written instructions and the step by step photos to be very clear. There are some designs that are similar to each other in look and technique, but with 25 projects you are bound to love at least five. I like or LOVE 18 of 25, and that is quite unbelieveable considering how many beading books and magazines I have in which I don't like a single project. Well worth buying, especially at the Amazon price!

LOVE this book so much!!!
I can see why everyone here has written glowing reviews about this book, it is simply lovely and the designs/projects are absolutely stunning. The author has very kindly and selflessly given permission to make and sell the designs in the book, so that is good to know if you are inclined to do that, and the designs are given a star rating system, 1 star for beginner and quite easy to 2 stars for the more intricate and advanced beader. The instuctions are as clear as crystal beads and in my experience it is worth reading the whole set of instructions before starting a project. I have never done a picot stitch (as required for the Crystal Bracelet on page 42) before and the instructions were so easy to follow. I consider myself a complete beginner so if I can follow them then anyone can. If you love vintage, Victorian and romantic jewellery then just buy it, you will love the delicacy and beauty of the photographs of the finished projects, and you'll be desperate to buy all the materials needed. I went a bit mental and spent nearly Β£60 on beads for the first few projects in the book. So beware!!!! You WILL love it that much!!!

Simply wonderful- I can't wait for Kelly's next book!
I adore this book- so much so that I have a kindle copy too! The designs are so pretty and Kelly has written wonderful instructions. I have only been beading for a year and yet I have just been able to finish my first fringed necklace without any problems, and I'm really proud of the result! The finished product wasn't cheap as I used swarovski crystals and japanese seed beads for an extra special finish but substituting fire crystals would reduce costs considerably and I will try this for the next project. The only difficulty I have is in deciding what colours will work well together. It would be a bonus if Kelly could incorporate some kind of colour wheel for inexperienced people like me.I can't wait for Kelly's next book, which is to be released in April/May 2013. A Wonderful Book
I love this book, it is fabulous, all of the patterns are set out well, with full instructions for all the projects. I have done two of the patterns for bracelets, and found the instructions very easy to follow. There are some beautiful patterns in the book, and I hope to be doing most of them. The author also gives full details of the beads needed for the projects, with sizes and all the beading equipment needed for each piece. All in all a book worth buying. More like this please.

Best beading book I have so far
This book is superb - clear instructions and closeup photos of each step - you cannot go wrong, even with the more complex designs. I've made several already and never really struggled, in spite of being quite new to this craft. The only thing I would say is that I found the quantities of seed beads over-generous, but this does mean I've got lots to spare for the next projects. And I can't find a reliable source of the rivolis, which is a real shame - any suggestions??
