Great product!! I was using the Hyper Chiller which worked well but still had to add ice to keep it cold while drinking. Plus I went through 3 of them because the plastic of the threads on the internal container kept cracking and splitting causing leakage. The Zoku is fantastic. No need to add ice and it keeps my coffee cold for a long time. So cold that I often have frozen coffee in the bottom - a coffee slushy! Highly recommend. It only hold a little over 7 ozs., but I make my coffee with Nespresso which makes a 7.3 oz. Cup, so it’s perfect!!

I was so excited when this beauty finally arrived. I love iced coffee but do not have an ice maker/dispenser nor the funds to buy it often. This product really does the trick if you pour hot coffee in and let it sit a minute or two. I imagine if you let the coffee sit at room temperature in the pot, you’d easily get two uses out of this cup from one freezer “session”. I’m a large iced coffee kinda girl and this only holds a small amount. I just wish it had bigger capacity. Unlike some others, my second cup does not get iced cold, just room temperature-fridge temperature really. This would make a great gift though and I’ll likely buy a second one as backup for those two cup kind of days. It’s stylish and very easy to clean.

I just purchased this device, as I am sort of a coffee enthusiast. Color was what i asked for. After testing this for for my first cup, let me tell you, This iced coffee maker works great! However, The instructions say you should freeze the inner layer for around 8 hours, i find it best to do it around 12 hours. (The longer, the better) Keep in mind, this time may vary from freezer to freezer as well with temperature settings. In short, Works as advertised, cools down freshly brewed coffee in a few minutes. I myself brewed a cup straight from my Keurig and ended up with a nice cold drink in minutes! Perfect for travel,and keeps your drink nice and cool. Wold like to check out Zoku's other products in the future.

I had seen this coffee cup featured on a daytime TV show in one of their "gift guide" segments. I drink iced coffee every morning so I thought, "oh this coffee cup will be great for travel, or when on the go". I read the other reviews about the cup being really small so I made myself a cup of ice coffee, using ice, then poured out the liquid (coffee and creamer) into a measuring cup to see how the Zoku Cup compared to what I usually drink. It seemed pretty comparable so I went ahead and ordered the cup. when I opened the package the first thing I thought was, "wow this cup is really small LOL". I froze the cup all that day and all that night and when I used the cup the following morning it only made my coffee cool/room temperature-ish after more than the required time in the instructions. I ended up returning the cup.

I purchased this mug because I love iced coffee, work outside the home, and am a new(ish) mom with a lot of distractions so I can't always enjoy my coffee in its entirety before the ice melts and waters everything down to something unappealing. I agree with other reviews that there are two major challenges with this iced coffee maker: 1. The volume it holds is lower than expected, given the size of the mug. However, keep in mind that you are not adding ice to your drink, so that does save some room. Still, I wish it held just a few ounces more. 2. If you pour in anything that has cooled or has been refrigerated into the mug, snap on the lid and head out the door, be aware that it will freeze solid. The coffee MUST be fresh and hot for this mug to work properly and allow you to actually drink it. I learned the hard way - practically sucked my brain into the straw. It's a very pretty mug. It fits in my car's cup-holders. It washes fairly easily. It seems to be made well. It freezes nicely and evenly. It's just that the design seems like it's too thick inside, cooling too little liquid a little bit too much. Keep this in mind before purchasing.

I hesitated about buying this because it's a bit pricy for a single-purpose, single-use coffee cup. But I really love iced coffee -- and hate diluted and muddy water. Even experienced baristas seem to have trouble making a cup of iced coffee that isn't so watered down by melted ice that it's worthless. So I tried it -- and guess what?! Perfect iced coffee. It even makes a thin layer of frosty ice in the edges. The inner cup is stainless steel and pretty much indestructible. (Zoku makes an all-plastic version of this cup for making slushies out of kool-ade or soda or whatever -- but it certainly would not work for piping hot liquids....) The lid has a silicone gasket that keeps it secure and sealed, and another on the lip where the straw fits -- the cup removes from the outer colored-plastic sleeve for freezing and so the sleeve can be washed. It's true that it makes a relatively small serving. If you're looking for a Big Gulp or a Super-Size-Me cup of iced coffee, this is not the cup for you. But if you drink your coffee one cup at a time, and like the idea of a treat-cup -- then this is an excellent choice. I usually make my cup of coffee (or chai) in a pyrex 1c measuring cup -- add my sweet and my milk/half-and-half -- and then pour it into the cup. That way, the "hot coffee" is already cooled down a bit and takes a shorter time to chill. Wonderful for a chilled matcha latte.

I bought a teal one. It is so nice, my wife made me order the purple one. Yes, it does have a smaller capacity, but it is very effective. A larger capacity would mean a much bigger container. Think about any of those high end coolers (like a Yeti). They have very thick walls. Their capacity is much smaller than a cooler with the same sized outer dimensions. My work around is this: When you fill it, put it back into the freezer for about 5-10 minutes. That helps keep the frozen part colder while it cools the coffee. I happen to used refrigerated creamer so that helps too. I can get two full mugs and still cool the second one. This product definitely meets my expectations. It's a great way to have nice cold coffee on the cheap. One must relax and enjoy it for what it is :)

Cold coffee in minutes. I haven't had any issues with drinks freezing as other reviews have mentioned. My only complaint is that the straw means I end up drinking quicker than normal but that's not the fault of the design.

used to drink coffee couple times a week. but ive been having iced coffee once a day with this cup! I use a doce gusto coffee machine to make the coffee. 5 mins later it is ice cold! Love it!

Cools well, but not to the point of "icy cold". It's cool enough so that if you add ice after it doesnt melt fast. The straw feels easy to break though.
