I think this is a very nice LIGHTWEIGHT table/chair set. It's a pretty color, looks great, cleans easy and feels strong (once we got the legs even). That said, to get the legs even my husband finally had to add a 1/4 piece of wood to the bottom of one leg. That would be my only complaint. We haven't used the table with the leaf up and I'm not sure I would trust it with too much weight. All in all, I would buy this again. I'm very happy with it.We have one end against a wall, if we didn't, it would move easily if bumped. If you're looking for a heavy duty table, this is not for you. For us, it's perfect.

I was concerned because of the poor reviews on the quality of the product and the bad comments about the shipping company.Product quality: I love this little set. I mean, it's an inexpensive set that fills specific needs. The set does everything I need it to: namely look OK and provide a small eating area in a small room. It looks even better than the pictures, imo. The wood is nice and dark, with no scratches or damage to either table or chairs. The chairs are really nice looking, much better than expected. The padding on the chairs is super thin, so people with no padding on their behinds (like me) might need a cushion if sitting there for too long. We are not large people, and the chairs seem to hold us both just fine. I don't anticipate any problems with the chairs holding our weight of 100 and 150 lbs.Shipping: When I received the first box (shipment came in two separate boxes on two different days), there were 2 huge holes in the box, and I was afraid to look. However, this was an exterior box, and the chairs were very safe and undamaged in the second box inside the damaged one. Similarly when the table arrived the next day, the box was filthy, with black marks/dirt all over--but the table was fully safe and padded in a second box inside the outer filthy one. The outer box had extremely hard (almost wood-like) reinforcements at all 4 corners, protecting the table further. The set was SUPER safely shipped and received in perfect condition.My review-based fears were groundless, thankfully.

One minor indentation on table top covered by stain so it's hardly noticeable. Quality control at factory should have caught it -- still not enough of a flaw to return the table. It was packaged very well and went together easily, looks great in the small eating area.I would buy from this mfr again.

This is excellent little table and chair set. Perfect for a breakfast nook. Very, very solid. Took me about two hours to put the table and two chairs together. Others had given this item good reviews. I want to give this company TEN stars for their packaging. I've bought furniture on-line before and had to deal with nicks and dents. Not gonna happen with these folks. Not only was everything secured inside the box and protected by those gauzy sheets that keep surfaces from scraping against each other, all the outer edges had an extra layer of super-rigid/extra-thick cardboard angle pieces top and bottom. Eight of them in all. Let UPS [or whoever] bang that box into anything. Not gonna get through to those pristine table edges.

Much cheaper material than expected and I don't expect the expansion part to hold even the laptop with regular use without breaking.

I moved into a loft so space is a factor. This is a very nice, small table for general use and eating. Really nice construction.

i purchased this for my parents new apt in a retirement community. it fit the space perfectly and it seems quite functional.

This table and chairs are perfect. The finish is a very nice, deep brown color. The padding on the chairs is comfortable and adds a nice touch. The leaf is easy to operate and very convenient for expanding the length of the table. I live in a small one-bedroom apartment, and this table works perfectly for me as both a dining table and a writing desk.
