MIDSOMER MURDERS SERIES 9 REISSUE

I’m a fan of Midsomer murders and have been for a long while. I got the series on dvd so I could watch it without interruption, and when I wanted. Thank You.

I don't usually get to watch these when they are on TV because of my work schedule so I bought 3 sets 8, 9, and 10 now to watch at my convenience - with NO commercials every 7 minutes. Great and the folder each set is in is compact so it doesn't take up much space like some other sets I have.

Another great set of mysteries featuring detective Tom Barnaby (John Nettles). His new sidekick is a local PC (Jason Hughes as Ben Jones), a sort of a Johnny-on-the-spot. He is quite eager to be helpful. Together they solve several puzzling murders, bodies strewn about, people dispatched in a variety of ways. They deal with lying realtors, blackmailers, and vengeful souls bent on ruining someone’s day. They stick with their winning formula up until the last mystery: Last Year’s Model. At this point they break with tradition and toss in the boring mechanics of a trial (a woman who may or may not be guilty of murder). I don’t watch these mysteries for the trial aspect, one presumes they’ll end up there eventually, I’d rather watch them solving cases.

I am absolutely hooked on Midsomer Murders. If you like to watch mysteries, you won't be disappointed. Also the scenery of this quaint location of Midsomer is amazing.

I can't believe this series isn't in the Naismith Basketball Hall of FameOr the LouvreOr someplace like that

This series is well written and well acted. These stories have lots of suspense and hold the viewer's interest. There are 8 movies included in this series: The House in the Woods, Dead Letters, Vixen's Run, Down Among the Dead Men, Four Funerals and a Wedding, Country Matters, Death in Chorus and Last Year's Model.If you enjoyed the previous seasons of Midsomer Murders, you will really like this series. I think that the quality of these series is far higher than many North American series.
