Nice enough towels for a good price and no guilt
Two different members of my family have said that these are "like hotel towels" - but I'm not sure they meant the same thing by that. :)The idea is that these towels are made of leftover cotton that would otherwise be tossed, which is eco-friendly. I like being eco-friendly - I do the "normal" things like recycling all I can, using low-energy bulbs, turning off lights, etc., but don't go overboard with recycled paper towels or toilet paper or such, because I admit that sometimes I'll sacrifice a little eco-ness for a good quality feel. This towel set is decent in price for what you get (I did receive mine for free from Vine) and they are not bad at all. I will NOT say that they are "luxurious." I find them to be Target style quality - not awful, but nothing special. The eco-friendliness of them is better than a cheaper towel, but I find them to be a little less plush and a little smaller than I'd love.My husband said they were "like hotel towels" and for him, that means that they are OK, do their job, but aren't fabulous and feel a little thin. My son said they are "like hotel towels" and for him that was a big plus because they dry quickly. I found that after I washed them before wear, the stitched band on the bath towels had already pulled a little tight, but otherwise they did fine. They are absorbent and dry quickly. I will also say that I was surprised to see "no bleach" on the washing instructions, because to me, one benefit of a pure white towel is that occasionally, it's great to be able to use bleach to totally refresh them.I would prefer 20 washcloths and 4 hand towels in the set, but it's great to have so many washcloths overall - I'd just like the balance to be a little more on the towel side.If you're not looking for super plush towels - for just family use or maybe even a beach house bathroom or something, these would be a great set.

Amazing towels at an amazing price.
This collection of towels is pretty fantastic. On the ethics/warm and fuzzy/feel good side of things, the towels are made of regenerated cotton in an attempt to make them as sustainable as possible. That's a buzz phrase I had never heard of before. Essentially this means that the towels are meant to be as green friendly as possibly by not involving any fertilizer, pesticides, landfill usage and other things that pollute or damage the environment. That's pretty sweet, right? Essentially regenerated is a step above organic if you believe the company putting this out. Even if you don't though, why wouldn't you choose a product that does less damage to the world around it than one that does. Unless of course it comes down to price for you.The truth of the matter is that a lot of people would be far greener if they could afford it. It's the same reason why MacDonalds gets business from below poverty line wage earners. Sure they'd like to have a nice salad but for the same costs as buying all those vegetables, you can get a couple items off of the value menu. So the people in question think short terms rather than long term because they simply can't afford to. Cost can be a big factor in any purchase simply because otherwise we'd all be driving Porsches and eating fillet mignon three squares a day. The good news is that in the case of these towels, the purchase price is more than reasonable. Sure $90 sounds like a lot for TOWELS, but once you let that sticker shock wear off and see what you are actually getting, it's a really good deal. For $90, you get: four bath towels, four hand towels, one bath mat and twelve washcloths. A high quality bath towel runs you between 10-20 PER TOWEL and her you are getting four with a whole bunch of other things. So you're essentially buying in bulk like you would things at a Sam's Club or BJ's. Heh. BJ's.... Anyway, Buying this large package costs you more up front, but you're actually getting a better bang for your buck than if you bought all of these items separately, even from other companies. So you get high quality products for an extremely good price. What's not to love. Oh yeah, the fact these only come in WHITE. Well, that's the price you pay for buying something without any dyes or chemicals. You get a single choice. Really though, white is a fine choice for the bathroom and color is nowhere as important as say durability or absorbency.Overall, this is a fantastic collection well worth picking up, no matter who you are.

Perfect Towels
I never knew there are different options for Eco-Friendly towels until I received Optima Collection Platinum Level Complete Bath Set. Made with with 100% Eco-Friendly Pre-Consumer Regenerated Cotton. What is Pre-Consumer Regenerated Cotton? Regenerated Cotton means no additional pesticides, fertilizers, waste water, or landfill waste was needed, making this a truly Green Product. Does a Green Product mean this is less absorbent or wont last as long? No, unique yarn spinning results in absorbent and long lasting towels. They even have patented manufacturing procedures to reduce drying time by up to 20%. For those who are shopping and living Organically, Regenerated Cotton is a step above the rest. But what do I really think of them? I thought this was the perfect set for two as we can balance use from two sets then wash and use the other set for longer life. They really are very absorbent and I was actually surprised on how well the washcloths worked for my face. Very soft to use and didn't irritate my sensitive skin around my eyes. I can see us using these not only for the home but also for the pool, as they are thick but dry very fast. The set includes:4 Bath Towels4 Hand Towels4 WashclothsAlways wash with like colors, mild detergent or non-chlorine bleach, and tumble dry only. The price is a little high for me at a cost of about $70 for the set. When I compare the style, 100% Eco-Friendly Pre-Consumer Regenerated Cotton, to other brands I have to say that this price is very middle of the road. For a complete set and the quality I received, I have to recommend them.
