Be careful mounting your camera on this thing, faulty legs!
I was going to give it one star but I had to be decently reasonable. This is great for your smart phone, but definitely not for a DSLR camera. The idea is a fantastic one, but this product in particular has a major flaw. I bought this in high hopes based upon other reviews, slapped my DSLR camera on it and the minute I had turned it upside down the legs popped out of its little connector and my camera fell on the floor lens first. Thankfully I did this somewhere with carpet and there wasn't too much damage but boy I was extremely disappointed. After playing around with it even more after that incident I realize I couldn't move the legs without at least one of them popping off in random sections. Looking at it this would truly benefit from maybe a metal wire running through it so even if the legs separate then it would still hold together. I'm not sure if mine specifically was just a manufacturing fault or something but I would be VERY careful mounting your expensive DSLR on this thing.Needless to say I'm returning it, and I'm just glad my camera didn't break.

Okay product but the legs break off to easy.
Update (7/17/16) Downgraded to 2 stars. Does not work with my 70D. Every time I go to adjust the legs they come apart. Super annoying and it makes it unusable. Even with my iPhone I am constantly needing to pop the foot pieces back in. Would not recommend.*More heavy duty then others and will handle my canon 70D but bearly. I was disappointed to find out that the legs come apart so easily. There has been a few instances where I have almost dropped my camera because a leg broke off. You can pop it back in but it's still an issue. It does come with an iPhone attachment also but again you are limited in the bend in the legs making it hard to wrap it around things. I tried to attach it to my daughters handle bars but the legs kept braking off when I tried to bend them tight around the bars. It's better then others but was hoping for more.

DO NOT BUY
They say you get what you pay for and that's exactly what happened here. i should have purchased the original gorilla pod because this is a sad copy with a terrible design.1st.) the legs would hold the weight of a small mirror-less camera or my zoom h5. i dare not let it even be connect to my dslr2nd.) the legs keep popping out of there joints3rd.) there isnt enough friction to hold onto anything i tried to attached this to a leg of a chair and it would even get close to enough gripping action to hold a square chair leg4th.) the plastic is probably the lowest grade they could find after first use i found fraying and cracking on atleast 3 joints

DO NOT BUY - Get the Joby Gorrilla Pod instead
This product is a pathetically cheap knock off of the Joby Gorilla Pod. As soon as I opened the Flexipod, one of the legs popped at one of the ball joints. As soon as I put it back in, another popped off. If I had actually used this on my $1,500 DSLR, I would be completely screwed. This tripod isn't made well enough to hold up a disposable paper camera. I promptly returned this product and Amazon issued me a full refund.I ordered the Joby Gorilla Pod the next day and I couldn't be happier. It's worth the money, trust me. You get what you pay for and if you buy the Flexipod, you are putting your camera in danger.

I NEVER WRITE THESE! But if I can save one person from this I will be happy.
A complete waste of money. I hoped this would be my go to tripod for my small Canon G7x based on the great reviews. I am not sure if I just got a bad one or not but this tripod will not stay together. At even the slightest bend it will come apart. This makes it useless if you plan on using it any way but standing straight up. Don't waist your money. There are cheaper and more well built alternatives.

Poor design, and poor choice of material.
Poor implementation of good idea.1) The legs falls off with even a slightest pull.2) There is no way to adjust the strength/frictional force of leg3) The tripod could not even support a small palm sized camera Nikon P80.4) The injection molded parts are of very poor quality5) Plastic material appears to be very pliable and soft, not a good material for a tripod.Returning the item promptly.

Legs separates easily at random spot
It works decently for cell phone, but definitely not anything bigger or heavier than that. The legs on this thing have a hard time staying connected as they come apart easily at random spot. On mine, one of the legs already in 3 pieces with the other 2 legs with 2 pieces each. With the shorten legs that still connected to the body, it still comes in handy for certain uneven ground (but extremely limited usage).

terrible.
I was really looking forward to this and its an absolute bust. I haven't felt it necessary to ever write a bad review (and I buy a lot of stuff on amazon) but this is just ridiculous. The first time I used it the legs would fall off. Within 3 uses I had to basically only use 2.5 legs. I think I got maybe 3 solid uses out of it and now its just useless. It can't stay up on its own, let alone with a phone or camera, it cannot maintain its shape and its definitely can't be carried or else it all falls apart. This is probably the worst product I have purchased on amazon.
