Nice for Stable Individuals that Want A Lightweight Can for Occassional Use
This review is for My Cane – Pivoting Quad Base, Folding Cane with Adjustable led light and cushion handleI wanted to try this cane with my elderly Mom in mind, she hasn't had a lot of chances to use it because she hasn't feltso good lately. What I do notice with the little bit we have been able to try the can is that the pivoting is so free orloose that I don't think this cane is good for an elderly person such as my Mom that might have balance issues.Too easy to lean too much in one direction & tip over, so I'll use the cane for those occasion times when my backgets the better of me.My Cane is suitable for more stable individuals that need a cane at times & not a heavy duty everyday cane.I have been trying it out a little bit myself just to get the feel of it.The quad base is nice for standing up on completely flat floors, carpet with any nap & it falls over & the pivoting workswell for stable individuals that my have to walk on different kinds of terrain.I am able to fold it up small enough to carry along in my tote bag. Good for portability when not in use.I also find it nice and light. The handle is nice and cushiony making it comfortable for me to hold on toThe adjustable direction light is a nice plus as well. For a lightweight cane this is a good gadget to have.3.5 stars for My Cane – Pivoting Quad Base, Folding Cane

Very good quality foldable cane
I got this for myself because I have some medical problems that flair up now and then so this will come in handy when I need to use it.Sometimes my knee gets very week and I need to use a cane to help a little bit. I like this one a lot, it is so easy to fold up and stick in my bag so if I need to use it , all I have to do is grab it and go. I am a big size woman and this really seems to handle my size quite well. I like the bottom of this , makes it steady to walk with and the light is a great bonus so at night if I need to use this when getting out of bed , I can see where I am going a lot easier. The price compared to the others I have bought is excellent and a lot easier to take along with me , Feels very light weight but sturdy.I have been buying on Amazon for 15 years now and I do rely on Customers feedback. That is why I decided to become an Amazon reviewer I do get to buy products at a reduced price and sometimes for free to use and give a helpful review of the products. I only test out the ones that I am interested in so I can let you know how it worked for me or a family member. Sometimes good and some not so good. Thanks and Happy shopping. Feel free to ask any questions

Exactly as Expected and Meets my Needs
Following my hip replacement surgery I've graduated from walker to cane. I already had two canes. My grandfather's wooden cane, but the tip was too narrow to feel comfortable for support. My mother's quad, 4 prong cane, was too bulky and I kept hitting my ankle. I wanted something light weight that would stand up by itself, and feel stable without bulk. I can walk without a cane, but need to have it when walking in the event I tire out, or hip gives out and I need the support. The quad tip is large enough to provide stability without getting in the way. Although it folds, which will be handy for travel, I doubt that I'll be using that feature around the house and around town. The description talks about the wrist strap, which doubles to bind it when it's folded. If you want a strap for your wrist when it's folded, you'll need to rig something else. Although I haven't needed the attached adjustable light, it works and may come in handy in places with limited light along walkways. Since I've had it for only a few days, I can't speak to its durability.

A good cane, but....
This cane (as advertised) has a number of features most which appear to work successfully. Does it give me the support I need when walking? YES. Is it easy to assemble/disassemble? YES. Does it fold up small and compact? YES. Is the in-built light an advantage? YES (for those who want or need it). Does it stand alone (a feature designed to help with shopping)? Not very often. And there-in lies my problem with the product. It was the one advertised feature which convinced me to purchase the product. As a qualified mechanical engineer, in my opinion, it is a design problem and not the fault of the seller. With this particular design, if the cane is to "stand alone" successfully, it must be in the perfectly upright position (not always easy because of the pivoting base), on a perfectly level floor and no outside influences such as air movement. In my experience to date, even the slight movement of air created by another passing shopper is enough to topple the cane, which then puts me in the predicament of having to recover the cane myself (a difficult task) or rely on "another shopper" to recover the cane for me.In all aspects but this one particular feature, the cane passed with flying colors and I will keep it, because for general walking it is great. I am just disappointed that it failed the test in the one particular feature I purchased the cane for.

Very good cane
At 200+ lbs and in my 40s, I had my doubts that this cane would be strong enough to support me while I recovered from ankle surgery. Nevertheless, it held it's own. It is much stronger than it looks. A non-folding cane would probably have still been stronger but I liked the convenience of collapsing it and storing it when not in use (like at a restaurant). The pivoting base was extremely helpful on the rather uneven streets of Los Angeles but on the flip side, the led light was really helpful and I got many compliments. The only room for improvement I can think of is that I wish they can get it to fold a bit more flat. It's a bit awkward when folded. Also the handle was not very comfortable after extended use. I think the shape could be more optimal and it can use another inch of length.Overall, I don't need it any longer but it will be stored away should it ever be needed again.
