What the... WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!!
Ok, tried this for the first time today. WOAH!! After eating quite naughtily over the Holiday weekend I needed something to help boost my shake that was healthy and satisfying. This, along with the chocolate flavored organic greens (same company) could not have been any more perfect as an addition to my shake. The flavor was perfect, without being too “healthy” tasting, smooth and quite delectable to drink. My body’s reaction to it was acclaim enough to me about the validity of health value this product has to offer. I immediately felt an increase in energy, cognitive function and my body just purrrrrrred! This is definitely going to be a staple!Beets are one of the Super Foods. Packed with essential nutrients, beetroots are a great source of fiber, folate (vitamin B9), manganese, potassium, iron, and vitamin C. Beetroots and beetroot juice have been associated with numerous health benefits, including improved blood flow, lower blood pressure, and increased exercise performance. Beets get their “superfood” label for good reason. They boost energy, detox the body, improve cognitive and physical functioning, fight inflammation and leave your skin looking great. Not to mention, they're delicious. They're a healthy addition to any well-balanced diet and this is the perfect way to to include them into any lifestyle! Highly highly HIGHLY recommended!!

Good product, poor packaging/shipping.
This is my 1st time purchasing organic beet root powder and it seems to me to be a good product. The powder is smooth and fine. The color is a deep shade of red and it comes with a little scoop that is not much more then a 1/2" around. It tastes like beets, as it should. The issue I had with this product (the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) was that the container was shipped in an envelope and the top was dislodged (I assume this happened during the shipping). The plastic clear outer seal around the top was still in tact but it was full of beet powder. When I took off the outer clear plastic seal and unscrewed the top the beet powder went everywhere and I discovered that there was an inner seal but it was not sealed to the top of the canister. I assume the inner seal somehow came unsealed when the top got jostled but I'm not sure. I was a little irritated that I lost some of the powder but thankful that I had the sense to open it over the sink. I thought about returning it since the inner seal was not in tact but decided I didn't want the hassle and since the outer plastic seal was still in tact I figured it was probably okay.

Addressing the flavor...
When choosing this product, there are such a mixed bag of reviews on the flavor. I just received my order and was excited to try it out. I cannot speak to the health benefits just yet, but I can speak to the flavor. It tastes like beets - no surprise. It's beets! What did you expect?I personally like beets...generally roasted in white wine. This ain't that.I added a big scoop of the powder to a low sodium tomato juice, added lemon juice and a dash of hot sauce, and voila! Although the beet flavor is still present, it tastes like a kicked up Bloody Mary (sans alcohol). I like it, and personally don't think that the flavor is anything too strong, or unpleasant. I could also imagine that the flavor would mesh well with a celery based health juice or veggie smoothie.Bottom line is that I like it, and if you enter the relationship understanding that beets don't taste like bubble gum or cotton candy, I think you are going to be just fine. I should also mention that the jar is a generous size, and given the 1 scoop (included) serving size - it'll last a while. To your health!

It’s delicious if you love beets and if you don’t it’s mixes into anything no clumps!
Well, I just recently started drinking it I like to drink anything superfood on an empty stomach for extra absorption so I add to my post workout bcaas (although I also enjoy it just with water as well). I’m waiting to see if there are any long term results as I only started a few days ago. I started on the first day of my monthly flow and I’m not sure if it was a result of the circulation getting better but I felt my body was expelling much more efficiently I guess we’ll see if it’s a pattern but I can always use more iron which is one of the main reasons I was interested in trying this. I’m interested to see if I receive better blood flow to my feet as I tend to have purple feet constantly if It’s anywhere below 75°. I’m wondering if I should stick to one scoop per day or does it matter how much I ingest per day?

Gritty product with unknown country of origin
3 points I want to make about my experience with this product: (1)The taste is pretty good when mixed with very cold water. But no matter how I mix it (i.e., with warm to hot water, and then add ice or cold water) it still remains gritty and never dissolves very well. (2)On top of that, to get the good beet taste like I get in other beet powders I've bought, I have to use 3 times the recommended amount of this product. So, essentially the cost per serving of this product is not any better than most other beet powders. Even though the label says 90 servings, it really is more like 30 servings unless you want a really watered-down drink. (3) What is the country of origin for this product? The product page on Amazon says made in the USA, but the label on the product I received doesn't say this anywhere. The USDA Organic symbol, while somewhat reassuring, tells me nothing about where the actual ingredients are from or where the product was made. This company needs to change the information on the Amazon product page or change the label to come clean on the product's country of origin.

Using this for Sport
I was curious, now I recommend it to others.I found that while cycling I have a little extra juice at the upper heart rate level. They say this helps aid Oxygen to blood, and I believe it. Consistency is key tho, nothing initially, but after a month I could tell a difference. It has what I describe as an earthy flavor.
