Simply Pine No.7 Clumping Litter

Pros: controls odor much better than clay litter. My cat is allergic to clay litter and does well with the pine. No more droppings from the box upon exit. No more dust.Cons: it cost more, but worth it to me to have all of the pros I've mentioned.I use a thin layer to help control the cost and line the litter box with a 1/2 of a "puppy pad" that I purchase from Costco. After 2 years of trying to figure out the best system....this one works for me.4 stars based upon cost.

This doesn't compare anything to Feline Fresh (Not to be confused with Feline Pine). It doesn't clump nearly as well and the odor control just isn't there like it is with Feline Fresh. The room the box is in smells horribly of urine. I decided to try this product because it was on Prime and was fairly cheap compared to Feline Fresh, which is for obvious reasons.

Its important to me that my cat not be exposed to clay dust (can be contaminated) or wheat or corn based litters. These latter two can cause allergies and more than likely, the corn based ones are from GMO crops.This smells clean, clumps perfectly, and I can just add it to my compost without worries.

It has a nice scent, and the cats do use the litter. However, I did not find that it clumped all that well.
