Basting Tape, Double Faced, 1/2" X 50 Yard Roll

This basting tape works well on vinyl and canvas fabric as well as leather. I use marine grade canvas and vinyl to make machinery covers and also sew leather goods as well. When you are making machinery covers, this helps to secure pieces in place until they are sewn together.

Use this to bond multiple pieces of canvas before sewing pieces together. Works great. Easy to apply and holds material together well when making long runs. I think it also helps seal the stitch when out in the elements.

I use this tape when making handbag straps, wristlets and key fobs. Works great on cotton, faux leather, canvas and cork to hold strap together before sewing. Very strong adhesive and does not wash away. Use wherever you want a firm but flexible hold. Works great!

Great product! Order twice to do some upholstery work.

Makes hems and seams super easy when working with heavy canvas and upholstery fabric. Used about six rolls sewing a tipi tarp and liner. Became a pricy part of the project, but worth it. It does gum up the needle some, but using a heavy duty needle it really doesn't matter. Works much better than pins since the fabric can't shift at all when stuck together.

This double sided tape was recommended to people sewing with Sunbrella canvas outdoor fabric. You need a strong sturdy double-sided tape to hold down the seams on your Sunbrella canvas. It worked beautifully for basting down the folds.

I've been using this to make full felled seams in 15oz #10 canvas and it does really well and keeping everything in place.So much easier.The biggest problem is that it really gums up the needle to the point that it traps the thread.After each section I'm having to take the needle out and clean it with goof off.

I love this tape. It makes keeping fabric stuck together, to make sewing easier. I need to also buy the 1/4”. Wish I had known about this sooner. But I’m glad to know about this now. I have also found other uses for this product.
