Does the case come with an internal battery or I must connect the case to a power source via a cable to charge the headphones?

The case has an internal battery, but it does deplete and must be connected via USB-C to an outlet in order to charge. I generally use the headphones for 1-2 hours at a time before placing back in the case. This whole setup lasts probably 5-6 uses, so 8-12 hours, before needing to be recharged as a whole. can these be used in mono mode?

It has no mono mode selection, but If you mean use one earbud for music playing, it is ok, just disable “Smart Pause”.

Has anyone compared them to apple airpod pro? i want them mainly for phone calls

I have both airpod pro and the Sennheiser earbuds have better sound and are more comfortable than the airpod pro earbuds. I would recommend them.

How many charges do you get before you need to replace the batteries?

Well I've have my ear buds over 2 years and the battery charges fine. Looking at the case and earbuds, I'm pretty sure these are not replaceable
