Watermelon slicer Premium Stainless Steel

Made a huge mess of the melon but I think I'll get the hang of it - bowl is too small to be of any use.

This cuts nice but for someone with arthritis it's kind of hard to get it to cut because of the fact that you have your bare hands on metal that doesn't have a ridge so therefore when putting pressure on the device, it kind of digs into your hand. Probably for someone who doesn't have a hard time holding onto things or putting pressure on your hands it would work really nice. I mean it does work but for me it's a little cumbersome.

I tried this today and it looks like it should work. I could not get the round cutting part down into the watermelon. While pushing it down my fingers on both hands were cut on the metal handles, which were sharper than the round cutting part of the slicer. I may try this again but I suggest anyone trying it be sure to put something like a hot pad on the metal to protect your hands.

This works. It seems stupid to have a specific kitchen tool to slice watermelon, but we go through two or three large melons per week during the summer, and this is easier and quicker and safer than using a big knife to slice the meat in the melon. And, it is fun.

I wish this had a zero star review option. This is the worst kitchen gadget I have ever purchased. This is certainly no "cutter" just a round bar that is supposed to cut through the melon. All it did was chop the watermelon up. It was a bigger mess than if I had just cut the melon up the old fashioned way. Please don't waste you money on this cutter.

I think that once you get onto how to use the product it would work well, but (yes there is a but) the handle of the slicer is an absolute KILLER on the hand. Fix the handle by givING it a silicone or rubber grip and it will be a great product.

simply not functionable

The first time I used this, I cut two fingers because the metal was so sharp on the side you were supposed to hold onto when you were using it. The thing does a lousy job and it's dangerous as well. I'll go back to the old fashioned way of cutting watermelon.
