Most excellent dental instrument, "fine" for gently, manually scaling plaque/calculus, with rubberized handle modeled for firm grip (will not slip, as with shiny metal) ~ this is the ONLY dental tool I will purchase -- highly recommend.

Dental office quality, very sharp. I used to have one similar to this and lost it, glad to have a sharp scaler to help keep teeth clean between dental cleaning visits.

I love this scaler. It has very good work surfaces and a wonderful handle. The work surfaces aren’t too sharp and the curve it perfect. Other scalers I’ve tried surfaces that are ground for cutting rather than chipping off scale which can easily it your gums if you get overzealous while using them. The Montana Jack R138 is just right and copies are simply bad.

I bought this product because I usually get cleanings four times a year. This is a great tool. It’s super sharp and high quality, just like your dentist’s, so use caution while using it. It does an extremely nice job of keeping plaque under control while you wait for your next dentist appointment!

Just what I have been looking for to help scale my teeth between dental visits.

This scaler is pretty sharp. Good ergonomics and easy to grip. I don't use it professionally, I simply use it to maintain my OH in between cleanings.
