Gourmet Dog Treat Maker

Did not have any directions or the bone cutter!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother. She's really into making treats for her dogs, but doesn't want to turn the oven on all the time. After doing some research, I decided to purchase the Bistro maker over other brands. Made our first batch of bones today and they turned out great! They were crunchy, rather than cake-like. Easy to do as well. You get 10 small bones each cooking batch. With one recipe, I made 30 bones. After they cooled, I put them in the frig. I did not ice them and I suggest you don't try to store them if you do, they could turn soggy. Recommend this little appliance...it's simple to use and fun!

Bow Wow Bistro Gourmet Dog Treat Maker was easy to clean...that's the most positive statement that I can make....After using it two times, first trying a spooned in softer dough...which did not bake up to expectations...then having to make another dough, flour it heavily, roll it out and use the included biscuit cutter...THEN transferring and cramming the dough into the machine...the treats came out decent. LOT'S of time and trouble with a baking unit that claims to be able to bake spooned in softer dough that is MUCH easier and faster to do! I am also complaining about the condition of the product box when it finally arrived at my home. (see pics. above) The damaged condition of the box made it impossible to gift someone...battered, and scrunched corners...over all, this experience isn't cool. Due to the expensive price of this unit, I may just be sending it back....not impressed....save your money people!

Personally I prefer baking bones or biscuits in oven. Product works but final result does not resemble a bone very well, to flat.

Hello, I am a third year veterinary student. I recently was given the Bow Wow Bistro Dog Treat Maker as a gift. I noticed that in the recipe book that comes with the maker that there is a recipe for beef and garlic treats. I wanted to write and let you know that garlic is very poisonous to dogs and SHOULD NOT be fed to dogs in any form. Any form of garlic is toxic to dogs (including garlic salt and garlic powder). It can cause vomiting and can cause red blood cell damage. This can be so severe that dogs may need blood transfusions. I put some articles in this email that say the same thing I am saying. The first two are for the lay reader and the second two are scientific articles. [...] [...] [...] [...] People are unknowingly endangering their pets because they will assume these recipes are trustworthy since it is a product for dogs. This is very important to dog owners who buy this product

I really enjoyed using this gourmet dog treat maker to make wonderful treats for my four amazing shih tzus. They turned out so well that I made some to bring into work to share with my fellow dog loving friends. Spread the love!

This company no longer replaces replacement products for this maker and I am still missing my bone! Very disappointed
