Everybody needs a copy of this album
When you listen to Storyhill, you'll wonder why these guys aren't more famous than they are. They are truly phenomenal, and this is one of the most beautiful folk rock albums ever made. A Grateful Dead influence has been mentioned by another reviewer, but I was thinking maybe Toad the Wet Sprocket, Dan Fogleberg, Simon & Garfunkle, or the Indigo Girls. Maybe one day I'll find out what *they* think their influences are. Bottom line, though: these guys have their own sound, can hold their own against anybody out there and can echo some awesome influences without being derivative. "What Was Wrong" is my favorite cut from this album, but there's not a lemon in the bunch. "Background for Your Blue," in spite of the cryptic title, is one of the best. This disc is a must-have if you're a fan, and probably the best place to start if you're new to the band. Other great cuts from other albums include "Steady On," "White Roses," and "Happiness Runs." Oh, and see them live if you can. You'll be blown away. Never seen a better live show.

Unbelieveable talent!
I have had the pleasure of hearing these two sing in person, they are incredible. Their harmonizing is beautiful. I have heard John Hermanson solo many times as well. It amazes me how much talent this man has - his voice is mezmerizing. AND he plays many different instruments...true talent like this is rare.

Grateful Dead Influences...
When I listened to their vocals the first time, I swore I heard the ghost of Jerry Garcia. These guys may be followed by "Hill Heads" - but the diehard Dead Heads cannot be far behind. Their haunting harmony is retro refreshment.
