Not clear in the information on this product that I'd be getting a Conair product. Otherwise as described. Did what I needed for trip to more than 1 country...although be warned, once you get it you will find a large list of products that you can't use it with....including many of the items I bought for use with (hair dryers, flat irons etc). So my hair didn't look quite as nice as I wanted & I had to buy a dual voltage hair dryer.....

I am happy with this item and with the seller; however, other buyers should be aware that I did receive an item that differs slightly from the one described in the listing. The item description indicates that you will receive the TS-2000CK, but what I actually received was the TS-1875CKN. There is not a lot of difference between these, but I feel the seller should be careful to advertise the correct item.The item advertised (the TS-2000CK) has a "High setting of 26 to 2000 watts."The item I received (the TS-1875CKN) has a "High setting of 26 to 1875 watts."I received the item very quickly after I purchased it, and when I notified the seller that they had shipped me the wrong item, they did offer to issue me an RMA so that I could return the item. I opted not to return the item for two reasons. First, it was not clear to me whether the seller does in fact carry the TS-2000CK and could exchange it for me. Second, I decided it was not worth the effort to return the item since they are in fact quite similar. I informed the seller of my decision to keep the one they had sent me, and they offered to refund $5 of the cost to reimburse me for my trouble. Because of the fast shipping and good customer service when I had a complaint (as well as the fact that the incorrect item I received will actually work fine for my purposes), I have decided to give them 5 stars.About the product itself: I have used one like this before (the TS-2000CK that I was trying to replace when I purchased this item). Although I have not yet used the one I bought from this seller, it appears to function the same way. I used mine in several European countries, and it worked perfectly. Most useful were the adapter tips (this item comes with five different adapters) that you can use to plug your electronics from the USA in to all the weird-shaped European plugs. 90% of my usage was just charging my electronics, and for that I frequently only needed the adapter tips and not the voltage converter box that is also included in the kit. This is because, although most European outlets run 220V (as opposed to the 110V in the USA), the things I was charging were laptops and cell phones, and they usually come with a power converter that will accept input anywhere from 100-240V. Therefore there was no need to use the voltage converter box - in fact I read that it is dangerous to do so for reasons that I didn't fully understand. At any rate, just check on the power source of whatever you're trying to charge, and if it says that the input can be 100-240V, just use the small adapter tip and plug it right in. I only used the voltage converter to charge my electric razor and to power some other things that didn't accept 220V. Oh, and by the way, the voltage converter makes a buzzing noise while it is plugged in, and apparently this is normal and harmless.

doesnt work with my 2000 watt hairdryer!!!!

I recently purchased adapter set for a three week trip to multiple countries in Europe. Everything worked great, but I left one of the adapters at my first hotel. The "high-low" converter plug worked perfectly. Most appliances tell you the volts required so it was very simple to determine whether a high or low setting was required. I'm hoping I can replace the Northern Europe adapter, though the Southern Europe worked it just was not as tight a fit.

This unit worked great. It ran a C-Pap machine all night with no problems with over heating while set at the high wattage setting. Ran a curling iron and a blow dryer with no problems either.The only problem we had was the unit is very heavy and sometimes if the wall outlet you used was worn we had problems with the unit staying plugged into the outlet.

I bought it to use my hairdryer in germany and turkey. Couldn't use because does not work with hairdryer build after 1990.

The adapter is all you need for your computer. I plugged my hair drier in the adapter, saw a big flash, and burned out the hair drier. Previously I had plugged it into the converter and using that had no problem.

Bought two for a recent trip to Germany, Austria and Italy to charge an iPhone, an iPad, two cell phones and five digital camera batteries. Worked great. With all the things that needed charging, my only regret was not purchasing a third converter. Amazon's price and free delivery were first-rate, as usual.
