I was dissatisfied with this because I was searching for information about the Hermann Goring Parachute Panzer Division 1&2 as well as good information about the Italian Campaign. Oh well....Pretty pictures!

Duplicate book
First of all a warning. If you already own The Essential Tank Identification Guide Panzer Divisions 1939 -1945 & the Waffen SS version then don't bother buying this book it is just a rehash of both these books. It is said to contain over 600 illustrations most of which are one inch long. I can count to twenty,so I don't need 20 tiny Panzer IV's to illustrate a Medium Panzer Company. The larger proflles are universally flat being computer generated images and many are just the same vehicles with different numbering/decals which just don't look right. Overall the book is a big disappointment and not in the class of say Concord Publications..

The title doesn't cover the subject
This is a book showing every german tank-unit during WW2, a short history of their endouver and equipment ( small pictures!). As such it's a nice book. If you buy it and think that you will get a thourugh history of german tanks with lots of informative ( large) picture, you'll be disappointed.

A brilliant reference book
An excellent, comprehensive overview of all the German tank divisions. Written in a very readable style and with loads of illustrations and photographs too.

Not what it appears to be...
Lets be clear, this is not a book about the various German armoured vehicles used in WW11. It is a book about the various German Panzer units in WW11 and where they fought. It is a unit history. There are lots of pictures and drawings of many different armoured vehicles (although only one picture and no drawing of a King Tiger and none of the Elephant) however there is very little factual information about the actual equipment.Buyer beware!
