Like the styling of your R1200GS, but want a more relaxed riding position? MV Verholen in Germany designed this handlebar riser with you in mind. You can have style AND comfort on your 2008 - 2012 BMW R1200GS or 2008-2013 BMW R1200GSA! This handle bar adapter mimics the styling of the stock part, while bringing the bars 40mm higher and 30 mm closer to the driver for considerable relief while maintaining the style. The riser is silver anodized. It is not necessary to change the brake cable with this modification. Please note: This Handelbar Riser fits oil cooled R1200GS/A only. It DOES NOT fit the Water Cooled R1200GS

Great Upgrade
A lot of GSA riders opt for risers and so many different risers out there, some 1/3 the price of these. I picked these because the fit and look compliments the bike's original look. The change in comfort was dramatic. I'm 5'11" with a 33 inch sleeve length and the amount of change over stock was just about perfect both sitting and standing on the pegs. I installed them on a 2011 Adventure and unlike some other risers, no real cable length issues or rerouting of the cables were necessary (a common issue it seems with other risers based on discussion forums). I did cut one of the zip ties on the clutch cable bundle to allow it greater room to move.The install was a quick and easy one person job. Very simple and intuitive. Probably only a 15 minute job but I spent some time adjusting things and making sure there were no cable issues like those I had read about for other risers.All in all a well engineered product that fit the bike perfectly and looks great. For me the look and ergonomic change was worth the extra cost for these risers.
