I bought this to measure the contour of some existing wood mouldings around my house. Although it worked reasonably well, it is not good for ultra fine detail. Each plastic tooth is pretty thick.

ALL-AROUND USEFUL TOOL
I ALREADY OWNED A 6" GAUGE THAT I FOUND VERY USEFUL,BUT WHEN I SAW THIS 10" GAUGE,THAT JUST DOUBLED THE POSSIBILITIES OF CONTINUING FINE WORK OBTAINED WITH THE USE OF THIS TYPE OF MEASURING EQPT..AND FOR THE LOW COST,I FOUND IT VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO PASS IT UP!!!
