Utter tripe!
This book is appallingly written. Blatant product placement and excessive film references that no one cares about made me want to throw it out of the window. I did manage to stick with it to the end which, granted, was quite gripping, but the first three quarters were painful to read. I can't understand why it's a best seller. I would not recommend.

I believed the reviews - they were wrong
This is one of the worst books I have ever seen. I read halfway waiting for the author to get to the point. Then stopped as I was giving up the will to live! After the rave reviews by some of my favourite authors I expected a good read. Not so.

A gripping book
The main characters in the book are Anna, Ethan. This thriller revolves around anna who's a doctor a psychologist and works with children. She is suffering from an anxiety disorder named Agoraphobia, where she fears to go outside the house. Her life is little different from others because of her fear she cant go outside and had to stay inside the house. She likes to sit near her window and check on her neighbors, street and surroundings through her camera. The story takes pace when new neighbor arrives in her locality and she meets ethan. One day she hears a scream of ethan's mother from his home and anna tries to confront his father of which he denies about any such scream but she knew something was wrong. The story of woman in the window was fast paced, it was so gripping and full of surprises. How anna prove that a crime took place near her home because no one believes her is most exciting to read in this book. The situation of anna is so well described that how she is isolated from the world, friends and family and is still surviving. The twists and turns in the book just blew my mind off, the characters were so well written which made the book so much more interesting. I was not expecting the end or the twist which was put in the story which made me fall in love with the writing and this book and if you're a thriller lover you should read this book.

Book Review
Book Review :Book : The Woman In The Window. My Rating : 4/5Author : A.J. FinnPublisher : HarperCollinsPage Count : 448Blurb : "What did she see? It’s been ten long months since Anna Fox last left her home. Ten months during which she has haunted the rooms of her old New York house like a ghost, lost in her memories, too terrified to step outside.Anna’s lifeline to the real world is her window, where she sits day after day, watching her neighbours. When the Russells move in, Anna is instantly drawn to them. A picture-perfect family of three, they are an echo of the life that was once hers. But one evening, a frenzied scream rips across the silence and Anna witnesses something no one was supposed to see. Now she must do everything she can to uncover the truth about what really happened. But even if she does, will anyone believe her ? And can she even trust herself?"What I think about this book :The climax of the book somehow didn't reach up to my expectations. But the reasons behind my 4 star rating is :1) Character Development2) Story Formation3) Setting. The setting played a major role in convincing me to fall for this book. The character of Anna Fox is quite complicated to deal with. She is Agoraphobic .i.e Fear from places and situations that might cause panic, helplessness or embarrassment. Agoraphobia is a psychological disorder. The characterisation of a protagonist with a psychological disorder was seamless. The narration is so clear that it was actually reeling in my mind like a movie. The whole vibe of the book was really frightening yet enticing. It gave me The Girl On The Train vibes. Though both the novels surround around a mysterious plot, and gave similiar vibes, they were poles apart in their own way. What I am most astonished about is that after finishing the book, while writing this review, I decided to do a little research about the author, when I did I was appalled to know that the book is written by a male author. The reason for this astonishment is that I had this conception that the writer of this book could be a female, because the way Anna's character is described is so vivid and deep, it felt like it has to be a woman. When the story unveils, to me personally, it was quite unpredictable, but somehow I was expecting more. Still, I would say that I loved this book and I would highly recommend it because it is definitely worth a read.Thank You.

Doesn't deserve the hype!
Picked it up because I'm a big fan of the unreliable narrator trope. But it turned out to be quite boring.Very disappointing read. Slow burn and not the good kind. Contains a lot of references to wine names, old English movies and songs, so be ready for that. A frequent thriller-book reader could easily see the twist coming right from the first chapter (revealed halfway through the book). The last twist was also quite predictable. Same old cheap tricks of the author.Don't give into this hype and skip it.
