Making fresh cheese - so easy and fun with this kit!
First off, I received my cheese kit in great condition and on time (before Christmas!). I am a terrible cook and easily intimidated. I CANNOT believe that I made delicious mozzarella! This cheese-making kit has all that you need to make mozzarella, ricotta and more (well...you do need to supply the milk of course)! I was able to put together a nice fresh caprese within an hour. The whole process is so much fun and I imagine would make a great family activity - making curds and whey is like magic! Imagine family night making mozzarella and then putting together homemade pizzas - Yummy! The instructions are easy to read and understand - definitely created for "nervous Nellies" like myself. I highly recommend this kit both for your home and also as a unique year-round gift.

You will need a pill cutter to use this kit.
This is a good starting kit for cheese making. With cheese cloth, recipe book and small amounts of ingredients. My only problem is that it comes with a rennet tablet instead of rennet liquid. The tablets are hard to handle for the size batches that this kit makes. You may want to consider getting a small bottle of liquid rennet when you purchase this kit.

Cute Cheese Making Kit...
Decent little kit. Bought for myself but would be a fun gift. Comes with salt, citric acid, a thermometer and good instructions.I ended up using my bigger candy thermometer because it fit the pot better.

the items can be purchased separately for less money
Very disappointing; the description says it includes rennet, but doesn't disclose that it's only ONE! If you have a candy thermometer, and some cheesecloth, all you need is rennet tablets which can be purchased on line for about $6, and citric acid, also easy to purchase. $30 is too steep for ONE batch of cheese. Save your money!
