THE MUSIC - SINGLES & EPs: 2001-2005 This 2 CD release brings together the Music's Hut/Virgin Recordings, singles and EP's and their respective B-sides for the first time. Their first Hut release was the acclaimed EP 'You Might as Well Try to Fuck Me'. This was followed in 2002 by 'The People EP' - the first song to be taken from their eponymously-titled debut album, which was released later in the same year, reaching no. 4 on the Album Chart. Following the album's release, the band's first single was re-issued, reaching no. 14. Two more singles - Getaway and the Truth is No Words - followed, reaching no. 26 and no. 18 respectively. The band's second album, 'Welcome to the North', which was released through Virgin Records, spawned the no. 15 single 'Freedom Fighters' and no. 20 single 'Breakin'.
