I bought these because they were advertised as emitting 4000 degrees (K) light and 92 CRI (Color Rendering Index) and because the price per bulb was good. For those not "into" light specifications, 2700 degrees is "soft white", which is great for evening relaxation, 3000 degrees is sometimes called "bright white" and will make your evening meal look more appetizing, and 5000 to 6000 degrees is called "daylight". Indoors, it will look blue-ish compared to all the others.CRI is "Color Rendering Index". The closer the CRI is to 100, the more complete or correct or natural the color will appear. Incandescent bulbs give off the most perfect light, fluorescent the least perfect, some new LED lights (like the one I installed over our workbench) look really white and natural.I also wanted 40-watt equivalent bulbs to replace the burned-out bulbs in the bathroom. We have 6 bulbs above the mirror. 60-watt equivalent hurt my eyes, 40-watt has been just right for us. The bulbs themselves say they are okay for damp locations.I gave these bulbs 5 stars because 4-and-a-half is not an option. I would ding a half star because the color isn't perfect the perfect shade of white. Sometimes when I turn on the light I think there's something not quite right about the color of the light, like some part of the visible spectrum is missing, but the feeling goes away quickly.Would I buy these again? Probably. But I won't have to. There's 8 in the box. They ought to last as long as we're in this house.

Despite having these lightbulbs installed for only four weeks at this point, I am very pleased with my purchase so far.I am coming from old, halogen vanity bulbs that most people are used to, and these absolutely do not look out of place in the design compared to older iterations. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, these bulbs use a mere 6 watts of energy compared to the 40 watt bulbs I was replacing.One unsung benefit of these LED vanity bulbs versus the old halogen bulbs is the lack of heat they give off. Living in a hot climate, I try and find ways to cool my home as best I can, and whereas my old bulbs would get very hot almost instantly, these bulbs stay pretty cool to the touch.I opted for the 3000k warm white version of these and am happy I did. Whereas my old bulbs had a slightly more yellow hue to them, these provide a nice even blend of white and yellow to keep me happy. I feel as though the 2700k may have been too yellow for my taste, but that's a subjective call on anyone's behalf.All in all, if you can snag these bulbs on sale, you are sure to be happy with the light these give off. I am very happy with my purchase.

I love these. I'm using them in my apartment bathroom. They're bright and exactly what I wanted.

I purchased these to replace 40-watt incandescent bulbs in the vanity lights over the bathroom sinks. I ordered the 2700K soft white bulbs. The bulbs are working great. There is no flickering, and they look better than the incandescent bulbs because you can't see the filament inside of them when they are on. I think these bulbs are a good value. I would purchase these again.

Nice and bright, but not blinding. I've noticed an occassional flicker. Hopefully, they last a while.

This dim! My old bulbs dimmed but kept flickering. These ones do not flicker and hold the dimmed level well. I got the daylight and my dining room is so bright now.
