American Labs BS-144P-200S-22-A 144 Blank Microscope Slides and 200 Cover Glass Pre Cleaned - 2 Packs Ground Edges

These work great, pretty simple, it's just glass after all, but my only gripe is that they needed to be wiped with some 99.9% isopropyl before using due to some dust and fibers from the box on the slides, especially the cover slips has this problem. I found out however that some slides come pre cleaned so I will still give this 4 stars, I'm just baffled that non clean slides and clean slides are sold. Why not all clean!? Oh well, that was my mistake, I'm new to microscopy. Thanks amscope, my t340b microscope and other accessories however were great! Next time I'll buy pre cleaned slides.

This set of slides so far appear to be clean and sound, with no cracked slides nor covers. The case itself for one of the boxes of covers was cracked and heavily damaged. Amazon did a very poor job packaging them (NO padding in the box, which allowed them to tumble around inside during transit), which I assumed was the cause for the cracks in the slide covers' case. However, the covers themselves, as with the slides, appear to be clean and unbroken, so I'll make do.

I didn't notice that this was a 2 pack when I ordered, so you actually get 144 slides and not 72, but I can't complain about that. Slides are super clean, cover slips are a little dusty but again nothing to complain about considering the price. I noticed on some other product pages that a few people seemed very upset that their slides were not 100% clean. Don't waste your money on something more expensive because it's guaranteed to be spotless. Every time you open the box to take a slide out dust and debris will get in anyway unless you're working in a clean room, in which case you probably don't order slides on amazon in the first place. Just buy lens paper or a lens cloth and you'll be set.

At first I was worried because I didn't see any cover slips, just the 2 boxes of slides. I realized that the slips were in the same box as the slides at the top. Although they give you 4 boxes of slips and 2 are empty but they give you all 200. Almost returned them because I needed the slips. Hope this helps anyone who didn't see the slips.

DEC 28, 2015: REVIEW FOR AMSCOPE BS-144P-200S-22-A SLIDES FOR MICROSCOPES. Packaged all together in a compact box. My purpose is for a portable lab, so I'd like to have paper between the slides for more protection in a rutsack.othewise it would be 5 stars.

A nice clean stack of slides. They're a little thicker than a few other slides I've used and that's great, because they fit nice and snugly into a slide holder.

They're great as slides, but the way it's packaged makes it easy to scuff them up and hard to get out of the box, especially when near full.

coverslips are tiny 18mm x 18mm, NOT 22mm x 22mm as advertised. That said, slides are good price.
